ROUND 2 OF THE 2009 IGTC SEASON; LIVE MARCH 21ST AT 18:00UTC!

Round 2 of the 2009 IGTC season will take place this weekend, Saturday the 21st, starting with qualifying at 18:00 UTC. The race will be broadcast via our Mogulus page, with commentary from Jonathan "dekojester" Palmer and Timo "hyntty" Hynninen.

29 teams of two to four men will be taking to the fast and flowing circuit of Kyoto National for a grueling four-hour event. Round 1 winners Mercury Racing will be looking to repeat their success, while My3id Gaming, spdoRacing, Team Inferno, and many others are lurking close behind.

Qualifying begins at 18:00 UTC and lasts for 30 minutes, using a "hardcore" format that allows no shift-p/shift-s pitting and only one driver per team. A brief break will be followed by the race start at 18:45 UTC.

For those not in the know, the IGTC uses a unique ruleset including safety car periods for major accidents, allowing for extremely close racing, occasional big comebacks, and a different kind of strategy not available anywhere else in the world of LFS endurance racing.

Will definetely watch. Hope there will be some nice battles tonight. And the chat helps to stay vivacious all the time, especially with people who are really interested and focused on the race and are in a mood to discuss. Actually, I mainly want to call attention on the tonight's broadcast, because the thread got somehow lost between the others.

JFYI - I might not be back from an appointment in time for quals, but will be for race. Hoping to get back in middle of qual.
