did i read somewhere there was a choice of 4 manufacturers logos to put on the tyres of the non-road cars?
If so, does anyone know what to do to choose them?
Someone made a dds file that contains the Michelin tire and replacements for the other 3. You just select them in the tyre section of the setup to what manufacture you want. Evostar is Bridgestone, Cromo is BFGoodrich, and Torro is Pirelli's. It's nice and if everyone used it, then you could see different manufacturers online, else, everyone will just use Michelins.
*EDIT: I guess your question was just where to change it, eh? Not an alternative graphic.
It'd be great if LFS could, in the future, support extra tyre sidewall dds files. Then one could keep the original, fictitious, LFS Universe tyre brands, and add the third-party created real-life brands. Perhaps if LFS just looked for all the tyre dds files in a specific subfolder and gave you a choice of everything it found, then we could have the best of both worlds.
Ah that was easy. Here is a little dds file if anyone wants to add Dunlop, Bridgestone or Yokohama to their collection of rubber wear.
Just remember to back up your original Data/dds/LOGOALPHA.dds file!
Ah, guess I did this before reading the post from dark shadow on the subject, he's already put a set together. http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=111740#post111740
Hoewever, on my dds file, I have replaced Chromo, Torro and Evostar with Bidgestone, Dunlop and Yokohama.
On Dark Shadow's dds files, he has 3 separate alternatives just switching out the Michelin with either Advan, Bridgestone or Falken, thus retaining in each case the LFS ficticious sponsors in the files alpha layer.
