My LFS(Patch Z) enters a brief black screen every time I do SHIFT+F4. Normally, the screen flashes in black, but now, it is staying black for longer than normal. Anyone know what causes this?

Happens to me too, but only when it goes from browser to full screen. Res is the same too.
That maybe the cause. I'm not using widescreen mode (my monitor is a widescreen LCD). I'll try it now.

It does.
Mine does this aswell, usually for about 4 or 5 seconds. When it does come back the frame rate goes to like 2fps and the sound does that glitchy stuck loop thing for a few more seconds then its ok again.
Sounds really silly but i just stopped doing shift f4 so often.
