Its a 95' mondeo saloon Si. Started life as a 2.5 V6. Its had a 3.0 ST220 engine dropped in, with a forged ST200 air intake manifold. It then had the respray, the kit and suspension along with a mild brake upgrade. All this was done by my brother when he owned. I bought it off him about 6 months ago, and its a little different. The stupidly big wing has been removed. The engine has been rebuilt being fitted with Cams, valves, followers and valve springs from the Noble GTO (use's same engine), and has since been supercharged. I also fitted a Brembo brake kit (320mm front, 280mm rear), polybushes, GAZ front and rear coilovers/springs and a general tidy up. Its off the road atm while i do some more things to it. Im quite happy with it and love the way it looks, but everyone has there own taste, so im prepared to recieve abuse for it from some guy on here, but i dont mind. I have alot of plans for it in the future, one of which is to make it RWD using the current engine, but thats a big job so its not going to happen this year i dont think.

The other rice bucket (its not too rice imo..) is my S2 Escort RST. Its a mercury grey 90-spec. And i love it to bits. I've wanted one since i was 8 when my brother had one, and it has'nt dissapointed. I've not done much to it. Interior wise, its just had audio and a cosworth steering wheel. the exterior is stock apart from i got the wheels diamond cut, and the inside of the spoke sprayed black. Engine wise, its had a big-valve head fitted, front mount intercooler, exhaust/filter, map and chip, performance pulleys, uprated cams and valves. On the last rolling road session, it done 205hp, which im happy with. I dont think im going to aim for too much. Its so light, it would be undriveable with much more. Its still on the stock turbo (its got refurbed though) as i prefer the smaller turbo as theres very little lag.

I've posted up in the "my ride" section, so thats probably why you seen it. I was just curious about what kind of reception it would get. Overall, they said they did'nt like it, but they did'nt find it disgusting or offensive, so im happy.

They all agreed to get rid of the bright silver mesh and the wing though. Thats since been sorted though.
As far as north american ford being crap, probably now, but before 1998, nope, best damn vehicles my family ever owned.

The last good vehicle my family owned was a 1996 ford E-150 extended. It was my Dads work truck. Damn thing was a tank, it even sounded like one on the highway. The little I got to drive it before it was scrapped, it was like driving a much bigger car, handeled pretty decently for a van. Definately not great handeling though.

After the very little repairs and work that it took to keep that truck going I was realy sad to see it go to the scrappers. The only thing that killed it was getting sideswiped by a driver that fell asleep at the wheel, he took out the side doors with his SUV, funny enough, the SUV wasn't drivable afterward, but the van was. The insurance wrote the van off because of age.

Now we own a POS chevy express 3500. The only nice part about it is the 6.5l turbo diesel, the electronics that control it suck, the differental sucks (who puts an open dif on a truck!?), the whole van sucks. Its already cost us nearly $10000 in repairs, and we've only had it for about four years.

Would have been better using the $16000 it cost (used) at the dealer to repair the ford, rebuilt engine and all.

Hehe the Mondeo would be so much better if it was a sleeper no kit no clue . I like the wheels on it just a shame they make your disk look as big as the ones on my DH mountain bike hehe

The Rs Turbo on the other hand as long as its standard shell is more like it . Friend of mine has a series 1 Escort RST conquerors, which spends most its life in a car cocoon but to be fair its probably one of the best examples in the UK with very little miles its simply stunning

Hehe, i like sleepers but i suspose i've grown acustomed to the way the mondeo looks now. I will have to get some fresh pictures of it once i've finished doing some small jobs to it. The pics that i posted are of when my brother owned it. Since i've owned it, its had a supercharger kit fitted (needs a remap though, which is on the cards), GAZ coilovers and springs all round, polybushe's etc and Brembo brake kit (320mm on front, 280mm on the rear) and there really good. . Also ripped that hideous wing of and changed the mesh for grey. There still some stuff i would like to do to it, but atm, its staying the way it is.

As for the escort, yes it's an original RST shell. It's had some welding done to it by me, as i bought really cheap, and it was a right knacker. . Its tidy now though, and it's coming of the road soon to have a possible zetec conversion, which should be fun.
Quote from BigPeBe :Well in a way I agree with the post your car topic being enough and I have posted my 3dr there already, but at the same time I can't stop myself feeling this urge of posting mine.

I basically love RWD euro-Fords (some FWD ones can be nice too) and I drive this 3dr Sierra. May I say unfortunately it's only a Cossie looker. It has a 2 liter Pinto with ported and lowered head, tighter cam etc. and the goddamn Ford EEC-IV, but I'm not yet satisfied with the power delivery it's giving me.

I have owned it for 5 years, I actually bought it maybe a bit too early, when I was 15, but I'm very keen on it.

Pics:

now that is a good looking car
Quite out of place in this thread me think, but I do really love Fords. I just happen to drive a newer and slower one
