Oh FFS... everything is failing.

Now when I go to an rFactor related site, including rfactor.com and rfactorcentral.com, I get some "Go Daddy" crap, trying to sell domains, and "Enterprise Risk Management Solutions"

*Scans for viruses*

*Throws computer off cliff instead of self*

*Buys new computer*

Um... Fail.

That still doesn't explain the failage of rF central...
I would imagine their domains have expired.
Btw, could Norton be causing my rFactor to freeze? Norton usually makes everything else fail anyway...
You can't just 'stop' Norton 360... It is intent on staying on your computer in every possible situation, thus causing maximum miserly (You need to uninstall it to stop it - I even get 'access denied' when I try to kill the process ) . I will, however, probably be uninstalling it tonight.

Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT

Oh yes. I would still guess it has something to do with Nvidia drivers. For me the nv4_disp.dll (or what it was called) is very unstable sometimes, especially in rF. Try different drivers, old and new, try the Wombats Nvidia dll patch for rF and pray for luck with it working.

For me it is the praying what seems to be working. Sometimes.
Didn't want to start a new thread. Basically, i downloaded the demo, used it for 10 minutes, then had to go out, i came back and it won't let me go on anymore. Is there a way i can get a longer demo? I didn't really have time to get a feel for it or have some practice, would like to try it again before i buy it, any solutions apart from buying it?

Much to your dissapointment Danny, I have got rFactor working and bought the full game

Btw, if anyone cares, all my problems were solved after I installed Vista SP1
Quote from JO53PHS :Bought the full game

No Wai!!!

I can pwnt you in rTractor now too then?
So annoying lol was looking forward to seeing what it was like when i got back, looks like ill take a risk and just pay.
I'm not sure if you want to take this into account before buying, but I find it impossible to counter-steer to correct slides in rF, because the FFB is so bad (even with Real-Feel).

The FFB is very good to me.
@JO53PHS: *cough*Bad choice.*cough*

LFS > rF
it felt ok to me when i missed with it a bit and i rarely got the ass out really, it did feel a little strange, its didn't seem to let me turn as much as i wanted in the corners, like i was being restricted, also on high speed small bends it didn't really turn at all. I just put that down to setup though, didn't really have any time to mess around with it to get it feel ok.

Then it's not working correctly. I had this problem with Realfeel too, but then I installed the game again with newest version and configured everything how I should it started to work.

When it works correctly it's a lot like in LFS.
O... Rly?

I'll have a look for fails
rF is quite a good offline game. Just that most of the car mods out there tend to wear off. Other ones like the Caterham, C6, TCL, Mini Just seem not too. But that is quite limited.

Nothing comes before LFS though! Er, I'll decide after I play NFS world online.
Well i can't test it yet
Quote from SilverArrows77 :Steer Ratio Speed="0.00000" // Speed at which low speed steering lock override ends (for pit navigation, units are meters/sec, 0.0 to disable)
Speed Sensitive Steering="0.00000"

Make sure you have both these set to 0 in your Controller.ini file if you are using a wheel (Program Files\rFactor\UserData\"playername")

Speed sensitive steering can be set to 0 in game, but steer ratio will need to be done in that file.

I find it makes a differnce anyway

That would be the source of the fail.

They were set to 20.000000 and 0.60000
