sup im new to skinning and still play the demo well a couple days ago i tried to make some skins and i took a picture of a dodge viper and thaought it would be funny to skin it onto my XRG and it works fantasticly so than i tried a lamborghini reventon and got the same result.. so my question is why dont people do this more often?

People do, especially with the XRG/XRT, because it has a plain front end (lights folded away) you can put any front end headlight look on that you like, i currently have a mk3 ford capri and mk2 ford granada fronts on XR skins. The possibilities are endless.

i tried it and the skins don't look very great. the lights and colors are everywhere.

really? what do you mean

This doesn't make them look real at all. In fact, it makes them look like a skin with pictures pasted onto it.
