Listening to Jak list his PC specs makes me horny :hide:

Ok now i post my specs:

Dell something or other, all you need to know is its crap and i don't have a clue what stuff is in it, infact, seeing all the posts above make me go cross eyed with confusion
Got new graphics card. (still gotta send 4870 back for return rma :shy Also have two western digitals; have 30 days to send back old one . Thanks for reminding me to take pics of setup, jak. I'll probably do it in a month as I seem to procrastinate a lot.

I'm surprised that there aren't more people running a triplehead setup. All you need is a low-end pci-e x16 secondary video card and SoftTH! (And a few monitors, but CRTs cost nothing now anyway).
Dont have the room for it, And im not a hardcore sim driver
Quote from Jakg :Link in the sig as always, but PC #2 (Uni PC) is now running:

AMD Phenom II 920,
HIS ATi 4830 512 MB,
2GB Crucial Ballistix (4GB once faulty sticks come back from RMA),
Foxconn A7DA-S 790GX,
Hiper Type-R 580w PSU,
Seagate 7200.12 500GB,
Windows 7 x64 RC.

ATM it's got a temporary optical drive which I may or may not keep.

All I need now is a bloody case to put it in - atm it's just running on my desk...

24s for the 1M? aint that quite slow for ur proc?
EDIT: omg.. i got 21s for the 32M in wPrime :P
Yes it does seem very slow - but SuperPi has always favoured Intel and this is just a plain install of Windows 7 - I haven't even tweaked the services yet.

Very good GFX card choice
Quote from Shadowww :Because NVidia FTW.

Nice fanboy term. So you're saying if he chosen a FX5200, it's still a good choice?
Quote from Shadowww :Because NVidia FTW.

Even though ATI has the best £ value and performs right up there with Nvidia?

Dude.
BFG Tech GeForce GTX 260 - $169.99
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 4850 1GB - $154.99

Yeah, ATI card is cheaper. But GTX 260 is like 30% faster!

mclarenmatt, you know, I better spend $15 more, than will have problems with drivers (which are getting updated once per year) after every OS reinstall
The next useless graphics card arguement, awesome.

Ahw come on "Anton"...

I am not a fanboy or anything but ATi and Nvidia are both good, i don't know who came up with the ATi drivers are shit "problem" but there are driver updates regularly.

And WTF its a ****ing piece of a PC, why argue about stuff like that!?....
What issues are ATi meant to have?

So far there have been no problems with PC#2...
Me neither, works great here.
I have had both ATI and Nvidia graphic card's and had no problems with either.

At the moment I just feel ATI have better cards for the £, sure they are slightly slower than Nvidia but only by a few %!

I just hate fanboyism.
