Quote from LFSn00b :GRRR, VERY FRUSTRATING

Bugged me for the last week. I can't get any sleep, even if I try to. I just tried sleeping since 1.30am, its now 3.20am, guess what, no sleep. Same repeats every single day etc etc..

This is just taking my energy away more and more, gets me nearly depressed as I want to sleep, but I just can't get there.

Is there a possible cure for this? Please help, I'm about to kill myself<--loljoke

just stay awake for 2-3 days straight... Reset sleep patterns.

You're arguing. And if you're going to start trying to post in a piss-taking manner I suggest you learn simple English... especially if you're going to start making childish insults about peoples mother...

Seriously, grow up...

About the thread now.. The morning waking up part .. If i could engage the brain to tell my body, "wake the fek up, get up, get dressed", would be great, instead of being half awake, turn on the tv, only to fall asleep again for one more hour..
I'm an insanely bad sleeper. I'm happy when I fall asleep in 1-2 hours.

I usually bathe in sweat for an hour. Then I sleep like a baby. Allthough it's a ****ing hard job to get a bathfull of sweat every night. It doesn't smell nice either.

Seriously tho: GET TO BED EARLIER. It's already 20:10, you ought to be in bed. And get a job. Makes you wake up in time.

Doesn't help. I get up at 5 am every morning through the week. There are times that I look at the clock and it's still 4 am and I'm still trying to get to sleep.

Ever hear of restless leg syndrom over there? They started advertizing medicine on TV as they do for all the new stuff they figure out. As soon as they mentioned this, I thought, "That's exactly what I have!"

I can be dogdead tired and lay down in bed. As soon as I lay down, my legs feel like they need to go on a 10 mile run. For years my wife has often rubbed my legs at night so I could get to sleep.

I can be on my feet all day long and still be restless at night. There are times I spend 10-12 hours standing at a molding press on a concrete floor with steeltoe boots and jeans sweating like a pig because it's about 120 F and extremely humid, and I am nearly collapsed when I get home, yet I go to bed and I can't sleep because my legs feel restless. Other days I can climb up and down stairs all day long. I counted one day that I often climb up and down 120 flights of stairs (13-15 stairs each flight) in an 8-10-12 hour period, and still can't get to sleep.

If I could afford to go to the doctor and check out this "restless leg syndrom" a bit more, I would. It's great having private medical insurance, paying thousands a year for medical benefits and still not to be able to afford to go to the doctor's.

Find out about melatonin supplement, it could work. At least for a few nights. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melatonin
It does work for some people and there are no side effects as far as I know. A few of my family members have used it. Only thing you need to check is that it's not the extra strength version. I'm not sure if it's sold in Finland though.

I've had it before, in times of regular exercise. Use your legs less, instead of more. I suffered from restless legs when I was very active, cycling up and down mountains etc.

Take a day off, don't stress your legs and you'll be fine
Try to get the room as dark as possible, and turn all the sound off. That's what I hear works.

I do keep everything off ('cept the clock) and I listen to lite music or ambiance and it puts me to sleep in about 5 minuets.
