Drifting community at its best. Gotta love when someone does something not on the uber-level "you s*ck lulz" engages.
Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but yet i've failed to see any reason why his driving would suck, i mean ok, he's doing it a bit differently than the usual way, for example he didn't link the first corner with the chicane BUT he did have good lines and throttle control which even the self-claimed so called pros fails sometimes. And for last he is smoother than a lot of people i've seen during the years i played. Does that make his driving/drifitng suck? i don't think so. And.. ABS, ok i have to admit that was weird but oh well we all are different Again, please correct me if i was wrong. I don't say i'm any better so if someone thinks that he s*cks so much, i'd gladly take some drift lessons in LFS from him, honestly.
As for the "noABS" is creating flatspots; LFS has way so many setup options to set up a car for your likings so just adjust your brake force to what you like, i.e. wheels blocking just at fully applied brakes. Blocked wheels can come handy sometimes
Apart from that i think that was quite decent, just be a little more aggressive, at this time i'm specifically referring to the first corner exit so you can carry more speed out of it to link it with the chicane.
If you accept advises from an avarage guy, carry on
nice drifting, link the first corner and the chicane, and you get a 5/5 frome me atleast...i know how hard it is to handle the tires when they are red hot, and you did a fantastic job!!!
I'm pretty sure that with the FZ5, all you need is a quick tap on the brake to shift the weight distribution and induce oversteer, thus excessive use of the brake pedal up to the point of locking up the wheels is IMO quite useless.
I think you should get rid of the ABS nevertheless since when you end up too short on a corner approach, locking the rear tires could save you by prolonging the sliding period.
he used the abs so he could not lock up so he could not go too fast into the corner, but really, get rid of the abs, and all aids any you will get much better!
sure i do accept i've to get used to abs-less drifting since i guess it will make it even more fun and interesting while easing out some parts. just like bambo said, i might use it to lock the rear wheels if i end up too short on a corner approach since it is really hard to use the handbrake with the logitech formula vibration feedback wheel (a crappy 180 degree wheel set). can't find a suitable button that is easily reachable when counter-steering yet i don't know if i should use the handbrake or not on the fz50.
I use abs all the time. It gives me a much smoother line and i barley screw the corner up while entering. In my opinion it's a matter of taste. Some ppl want to drive with abs and some don't.
ya i tried driving the (insert car here because i forgot what car) without abs for the first time, and i tried to brake while cornering, and i just happened to spin out.
