This might not be the right place, but is there anyone here that knows anything about them? Electric in particular.

I have a 60cm 7,2v electric RC boat with a 600 motor, and i am wondering if i have the right size prop. I have watched some movies on YouTube and i have seen much more powerfull boats with smaller props, my prop is about 45mm (if i am right) which is quite big actually for such a non-powerfull boat.

Anyone knows which size prop is best?

Its a catamaran by the way, and not uber fast just standard speed.

I don't know info out of my head of my boats, I'll measure and/or take pics tomorrow.
I will be going out on lake tomorrow for some testing. I've added some new batteries, my fast boat goes like 120Kph now. And my other boat around 100Kph.
My slower boat was some cheap free thing with 2 props, and I've modded it with rudder and 1 prop. And watercooling with an awesome motor in it. I'll take some pics tomorrow

Also measure your prop diameter and which engine it has.

Ye well, i sold my 5hp motor and got myself a brand new 10hp suzuki, which is exactly like a 15hp suzuki so. :rolleyes:

btw i will be going brushless with my little cat, nothing outragious though.

I will recieve it in 1-2 weeks.

It is 11 degrees today and i just came back from a bit of swimming, because my boat was smoking and it almost burned out but i could just put down the flames in time.
This all because i put a 11turn 40.000rpm engine in it, which was apperently too much for my ElectronicSpeedController so it melted.
