Wheel Settings
Hi everybody, i have a G25 and i would like to ask how would i get my wheel to turn smoothly around corners and bends with little to no resistence but when i let go of the wheel it centres itself back again. Ive tried various settings that people have suggested e.g.

105% Overall force
0 Damper
0 Spring

0 Centering spring

but the wheel does not centre.

105% Overall force
0 Damper
0 Spring

40% Centering spring

the wheel does centre with this setting but it does so very slowly and there is slight resistence when i turn.

I would like it to centre at a quicker pace but with no resistence when i turn the wheel.
Since you can only control the FFB master gain in LFS and the Logitech Profiler Spring and Damper sliders are bypassed entirely, what you want is currently impossible in LFS (might be possible with DXTweak, but don't ask me about that).
Why do you want that anyway? Defeats the purpose of force feedback if there are no forces
I think its not possible at all.
i mean you need resistance (ffb) so the wheel can move its own waeight.
Thanx for your replies, could i ask what is each of your settings and does it resemble close to a real car as possible. Or are there any settings that could be close to a real car.

Thanx agen
100% or 101%, depending on the Profiler version (older versions have a bug resulting in non-linear feedback at 100%), everything else 0.
Ingame whatever feels best to you, I use 100%.

Can you confirm that this bug is resolved in latest 5.04 Logitech software ?

Not with absolute certainty, I cannot feel incorrect response on either 100% or 101% but that might just be the FFB gearing in my G25 showing it's age and wear.

I tried this setting and its resistance it really strong, is yours like that too. Im sure a real car is not like that.
In LFS you can use the < and > keys (,.) ingame to change the FF on the fly, this only changes the power of the overall force, for the most realistic feeling the settings most have suggested are about right (I use 108% force and all other sliders at 0 centering spring enabled but set to 0)

When you actually drive the car, depending on how its setup, will effect what you feel ( camber and toe etc), different cars also give different feedback (fwd/rwd) your wheel might not center until you drive along (like a real car)

Also remember to calibrate the wheel and pedals inside LFS (options/controllers/"axis/ff", click recalibrate move all axis fully at least once, then click lock.

Good luck.
EDIT: Check your "wheel turn compensation" sliders setting it has a huge impact on how the wheel behaves near the center position.

What is your force feedback ingame set at 100%?
No I normally have it somewhere between 30 and 60 % ingame.

ok il give that a try.
FF is... Annoying *shrug* have it turned off ^^, driving FBM with slick settings requires rather sensitive maneuvers and the FF makes it more difficult to perform those maneuvers :P

With out force feedback it feels way too lose, doesnt even feel like your connected to the car.
Steering wheel is linked to computer by cable / verses directly linked steering in a car
Big difference " 1 is real the other is simulation my 2cents
