A possibility for 2 demo users to receive a S2 Licence. A demo user can enter both competitions, if however the same user wins both competitions the second licence will go 2nd place in lap times. The demo user must have a join date before today (13/08/2009) to enter this competition.

Skin competition

Winner decided by me (not by general consensus)
Normal skin rules apply (no swearing, pornographic imagery etc.)
Must skin 3 cars:
1 Road car (uf1, xfg, xrg, xrt, fxo, rb4, rac, fz50, lx4, lx6, vws)
1 Race car (ufr, xfr, fxr, xrr, fzr)
1 Single Seater (mrt, fbm, fox,fo8, bf1)
Skins cannot be for the same car across road and race cars (so you can’t do the race car if you have skinned that road car e.g. you can’t do uf1 and ufr, xfg and xfr etc.)
Skins must be in a set (same design across the 3 cars)
Skins can be of your own design or a replica
Post skins in this thread (please no img tags)


Time competition

You must complete a lap of BL1 using each of the demo cars.
The lap must be done in hotlap mode and be HLVC valid.
Your time will be taken as XFG lap time + XRG lap time + FBM lap time.
The winner will be the driver with the quickest combined lap time.
Each replay must be uploaded in your post. If you manage a faster lap time please edit your post instead of making another post to reduce duplicate lap times for the same user.
If the edit date of your post is after the closing date then your times will be disqualified.


Closing date for both competitions will be in 1 month (23:59 UTC 14/09/2009)

S2 licences are not transferable under the agreement of sale.

For the time competition, you just need to do the fastest laps you can in hotlap mode on blackwood in each of the cars. Then make sure you post the replays in this thread before 23:59 UTC on 14/09/2009.

There is no maximum time, in terms of the time it took for the laps. It is just whoever has the fastest laps wins.

There are 2 licences:

Whoever does has the fastest laps wins a licence.
Whoever has the best looking skins wins a licence.

Man, I wish I wasn't so slow in LFS...

I bet having a FFB wheel would make me 1-2 sec a lap faster. I'll give it a go though.

When that is said, practice man, practice! It's still not too late Some hours and you will pull the times downwards on the different track configs.

Edit : FFB is overrated, I am using Drive Force Ex and has disabled it, seems to be not much of a differnece, it's all about what you are used and adapted to.

You just upload the 10 lap replay Hotlap mode shows the fastest HLVC lap that you have done in that session

For example say you do 10 lap race, and you get a best lap at 1.40 at Blackwood. Then it could stand something like (for me)
The_Very_End BL1 1.40_xrt .. wrong, but it's something close to that. The replay name contains all the information needed both for you and LFSworld

Okie doke, but when I try to upload a test file, it says wrong version and I need 0.5Z, but I have 0.5Z... at least so says the main menu. I've installed some textures, would that make it invalid?

I have a rather stupid question: What exactly is an image tag?

If I release a skin I post hyperlinks as my attachment space is heavily limited here(with a bit of luck it's enough for a skin both 2048²px and 1024²px and a preview picture). Should I post just the link instead?

And another question:
I have a skin now that I announced releasing but there is a little place that is insanely hard to skin now so even though it's a WIP it is in fact as good as finished.
So may I use it? I would apply the livery onto 2 other cars and for the sake of fairness I would enter the skins in half of the time (one week for the design and one for the first skin).
