Fully sick drift video
Has it got swine flu or something?
#4 - hp999
3 minutes and 24 seconds for a video isn't short... Good job with the vid.
Some shots are a bit too long for my taste. If you're going to use fast music (dunno how to explain that), you need to use short clips to get some more action to it. The song used isn't especially fast, but uh.. jeez, I need tro practise on how to explain things. :P
The colors are too strong, at least for my eyes. But I've been awake for too long so my eyes might be more tired than usual.
Boring intro, it didn't catch my interest at first. I thought it was a slideshow, and that is not the first impression you want to give the viewer, at least not when you're calling it a "video".
Music didn't really fit, but each to their own. Some people like it, others don't.
Camera angles are nice, I liked 'em.

Overall it's a decent vid but there's alot of room for improvements.
Wouldnt call it a "fully sick drift video" seen alot better
Needs effects, some twining
Drifting is nothing special, its naw bad, keep up the practice n it will come
music is, not my taste tbh
Camera work is quite good, needa work on some angles abit
Was also boring, needs more action and shorter clips.
Also, use 10fov, it looks so much better(or so im told anyway)
and when recording a movie, press shift+f twice, means you dont get text on the screen like in 2:33
and im sure the bad graphics are just cos ur comp isnt up to it, which is fair, neither is mine atm
Keep up the good work all the same
Hehe, thanks for the replies guys. Yeah originally tried to screen cap at max res, max settings and I couldn't work out why the video cap was at like 6fps. Anyway, it's amazing how much computing you'd need to properly capture video.

Compared to the videos I watched I thought they were really short clips. Except the lap on autocross which I thought was pretty cool. But yeah.

Anyway thanks for all the tips and stuff. I really enjoyed editing it so I'm gonna make another . Try and make it more flashy.

Lol. The band in the clip is from Scotland. Have some patriotism and pride!
Quote from ReflectionSpeak :Short and sweet.

two words in the introductory post and both wrong....

Read this - it will help

and also - It's not fun to see a video of some much less than mediocre drifting. You should either up your skills before making a next one, or at least do a few takes on each corner, till you get it perfectly
there's something wrong with some of the videos in this forum.
1. they are a bit cliche and are not original
2. they are boring.
i know there are a lot of film makers in this forum who broke ground and were creative.
Don, Mp3Astra, unokeva, trackah123 (that was wierd...), squidhead ect.
it doesn't nessarily have to have insane effects like greenscreened people inside the cars or rendered environments.
Kraniwani for example... he did a music video with only 2 effects. Black and White and Film scratches. He has about the 3rd most views on youtube for a Live For Speed Film. Look to those videos and find the action and the sense of the cars flying by the camera.

Now about your video.
It wasn't really that bad.
I mean.. I've seen worse and i've also made worse. I think what the foremost thing you need to do is get yourself a proper video editing program. I'd start with either Sony Vegas Movie Studio or Adobe Premiere Pro.
Secondly Practice, Practice, Practice. Use LFS Tweak to make your drifting crazy if you want. Learn to use the FZ50 whatever. Just try to make sure you make a lot of replays and go through each one to see which one is the best for that corner and which one are you going fast and so on.
Thirdly, don't be discouraged by me. I'm only 12. I remember when i made my first video. Everyone rated me 6/10 or worse. Stick at it and you might be like the people above.

Yes i'm sorry this is so long.
