im not sure if this has been suggested before, in that case im sorry.
I just tought of this on my way to school today, I love the idea of a big number of new cars in S3, but with many cars you get poeple wanting to race only one of them and starting a server for just one car = too many servers with few people on it.
anyway, if the cars were put into classes, such as ''stock cars'', ''sports cars'', ''american muscle'', ''GT'', ''trucks'' and so on, im sure you get the idea..
so instead of being able to deselect individual cars when starting a server, it would only be possible to cancel out a class at a time...
this would lead to fewer servers, and tight races with several different cars

just an idea...

i'd like real cars, under different names to avoid copyright.

i want to drive some supercars, also i really agree with two other statements, i'd love to see muscle cars in LFS, and off-road tracks and vehicles.


also, besides that, volumetric smoke would also be awesome.

i enjoy drifting GTR's and would love to have some nice visually appealing smoke.

agree there with Morix...... tho a new diesel engine would need to be implemented...

A Helicopter, where in the title "Live for Speed" dose it say they must "drive" on the ground :P

Someone probably already said it but the Dodge Viper, in any trim. LFS could use a racecar RWD, N/A'd that handles like a viper =)

My dream of cars ( new cars ) in LFS is simple, more cars, road cars, less vehicles like BMW SAUBER F1 or MRT5, I don't like them.

I would like to see 4x4 cars like jeep and landrover and some technical tracks specialy designed for them. I dont want to see american cars. Every kind of them. C.A.R.T. or nascar or topfuel or monstrtracks or every other kind.

hehe, when S3 is out, I will be old enough to have a credit card, and buy it myself. I wan't drag racing simulation. I think it's been suggested before.

I would really like to see on lfs one of these car:

Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione (car winner of 1992 world rally championship) - 2000cc turbo, about 340bhp, 4wd, thorsen diff, mcpherson scheme suspensions

Lancia Delta S4, the most powerfull group B rally car ever made - 1986 - about 600 bhp, biturbo (1 turbo between 1500 and 3000 rpm, the second from 3000 rpm to rev limit, for limiting turbo lag), 4wd.
During tests this car did some lap on barcellona circuit. The best lap time was able to qualify that car on the 6th position on the F1 barcellona race of that year. (obiously only in theory, it's not a f1 car xD)
It's rally car...

It would be fun to have one (or both ) these car, especially if lfs is really going to have a rally or rallycross expansion. It would compensate the absence of a real 4wd rally race car (Fxr is not a rally car).

Thrust... And slat flats... Yopu're going to take each car, get it to max speed and say 'yawn, move along'. Other cars are at least usable on tracks, what about Thrust SSC? You won't be able to get it around that corner on Blackwood, let alone the chicane. And the straight is too short for anything.

gremwood don't get your expectaions high. Nobody knows, not even the devs. S2 was said to be released half a year ago. Is it out? Yes. An alpha.

I think keep the trend LFS is on, cars which rnt real, but at the same time there is a wide range of cars. I personally think introducing real cars to the game will spoil it because then you'll have ppl saying

"180SX's dont handle like that! FIX IT DEVS" etc etc etc.

Lucky for us no one knows what a F1 is like to drive :P

RB4 rally car and some BTCC-type cars. And a Turner type thing with a tiny engine and almost no weight.

imo lfs need to have many cars as possible, sometimes i think in buy a ps2+gt4 than s2 license+wheel, because of many cars u can drive, real cars, in real track...

LFS already has over 20000 cars in it, but as a demo racer you can only use 3. You're loss.

theres one class of car which is completly missing , the mid engine competition car, sort of a gtr version of the raceabout.

what i would like to see is a better mix of rally cars, lets have the equivelent of a mk11 escort, full on rally x mini, early quatro. all of these had strengths and faults and with a tarmac / loose mix none will have a dominant advantage.


oh yes there should also be a lancia stratos, which will please tristran, midengined rally car, very fast on tarmac if you could drive it, very twitchy on loose, once again no dominant advantage.

startos should be achievable as there are at least 2 "clones" available and one of them's pannels can actually be used as replacements on genuine article, so body shape and spec appears to be available or at least have a blind eye turned to it
