they come back and green-flag it, and still no commentary.

not really... they were messing with the aspect ratio during quali for a few races in a row though... kinda annoying.

seeing how bad this quali was, it makes me wonder if half the grid will even finish...

Loved it when Alonso said he slowed for the yellows just after they showed an onboard where his foot is planted. Silly lying git.

What the hell was that about? If qualifying was that crazy just imagine what the bloody race will be like! At least I predicted Vettel would be on pole, shame Hamilton could only get 3rd though, and it's a shame Webber is still the unluckiest driver in the world.

Just finished watching the quali, wow I'm fascinated that there were so many significant driver errors, maybe there should be more tracks that have this effect. Though, bigger run-offs would probably be a good idea. Hopefully it'll be an exciting race, but tbh in these fast corners it's going to be difficult to keep close enough.

That's what happens when people don't race there for ages, then have very limited practice sessions To busy learning and pushing to much during qualy, looking forward to a good race, but i don't expect much overtaking as usual

It's Suzuka, it produces great racing. Even in the old cars we had quite a lot of overtaking, granted some of it was because of the weather but not always. I'm hoping for a very eventful race, hopefully we will see some of the fast guys cutting through from the back.

EDIT: Anyone else doing a real hardcore and staying up until 5am to watch it live? Getting up early doesn't count, you need to be a real man and do an all nighter.

I did that all the time when i was working 3rd shift, i get from work not before 3 AM, sometimes 5 AM, and i'm no tired at all, so it's easier to just wait for it then sleep 2, 3 hours.. but now since i'm working normal shifts i just couldn't do it, i haven't even get up for qualies, i was that tired and sleep hungry.. but for the race i'm probably doing an alll nighter

I did that for the past two Melbourne races. Was quite fun

But dont know about Suzuka. See how long I stay up till, then I will decide.

The penalties for ignoring the yellow flag are ridiculous! 5 Places back after Q3 when they shouldn't even have passed Q2.

There have been harder penalties for less...

Good Luck for Rosberg though, heavy car in 6th place, now how will he screw up this time?

yep, just back from the local, got a couple of bottles in the fridge, the call to the local curry house has gone in and an unimaginable mess of delicious yet potential damaging amount of curry,chips and assorted meat are currently being cooked in, what one can only hope for, is a decent and hygienically clean kitchen.

That should all arrive just in time for MOTD to kick off, as a sit down in front of my roaring coal fire with Hansen, Linker and Shearer, I will munch through what could be potential food poisoning, all the while enjoying the footballing delights. After that I have the football league to wallow in the finest that the lower leagues can offer...including my beloved Newcastle United.

That takes me up to some time after midnight, where I have a couple of options. There could be some bizarre yet strange cult movie on sky movies somewhere, or I could look at my even stranger DVD collection. That should take me up to the race.

Then after the race, you would expect sleep.....but not me, oh no. Head of to Inverness at around 9am and find a pub that is open after 11am (thank you law change) and settle in for some friendly banter with ICT fans while occasionally looking at the Old Firm game on the box. Then onwards to the dump (after a bite to eat from the local McDonald's.....maybe 2 big macs ), to watch my team, my hero's Ross County take on the evil ICT. Finally ending back home roughly at 9pm in need to iron a shirt and trouser half cut.

It's going to be a long 24 hours I fear...bring it on.

Here's how it works....

FIA owns and controls F1. They have sold the commercial rights to F1 to the Commercial Rights Holder (Bernie Ecclestone, CVC and so on). The last deal I saw figures on was $375m for 100 years(!!). The Commercial Rights Holder then sells the media rights, usually on a geographical basis, to media companies (eg BBC). These media companies will then exploit the rights.

• The Commercial Rights Holder reserves the rights they have not sold to others. This means that if F1 is not available in your area you are still infringing on those rights.
  
• By watching illicit streams you are stealing intellectual property. It doesn't have to be tangible to be property.
  
• You do not have an inalienable right to watch F1. If F1 is not available in you area (or is only available on PPV) that is not a defence against the crime you are committing.
  
• "No harm" is not a valid defence in law. Just because you don't think something will affect anyone else doesn't mean that act changes from being illegal to legal. Speeding on a deserted road is still speeding. Smoking crack at home is still illegal.
  

You might not think you are doing wrong, but you are. There is no contrary position, no obtuse example that can supercede the argument. It might not be the most serious crime in the world, but people seem to think that, for a variety of stupid reasons, what they are doing is not illegal.

So I did nothing illegal then, as here in Belgium we get channels that air F1 from 4 different countries on the normal non-PPV TV, including the BBC. And I only watch the BBC stream via the Britishtv.exe, none of the other channels. :P

As stated above by someone else, it works fine again...but please only use it if u recieve the BBC on your Tv allready so as to not annoy Storm Cloud any further.
I do hope next time u drive home from work u meet a police officer who is as anal about THE LAW as u seem to be and fines u for going 1MPH over the limit.
