Do you think that Monaco will be a good race?
Whats up dudes, i just wanna know ur opinnion about monaco, i guess it will be the best race since F1 06 season started.
Schumacher will win! or maybe Alonso well lets Takuma Sato win..... LOL maybe if the whole pilots are going to be drunk he can win lol
I just hope one of the good drivers has a DNF or something... would really mix things up

I've been thinking... what if Alonso couldn't finish a race sometime this year... then it would be a close battle for Schumi. I know it sounds bad, but I hope Alonso doesn't do well the next couple of races, so Schumi can get even with the points. It would at least mix things up a bit and make a better championship finale in my opinion

That Renualt is bulletproof, the chance of rain on race day is much higher than an Alonso DNF. Damn, I hate it.

Of course you know in 2002 Michael Schumacher finished on the podium in each and every race.
Is Monaco ever good? IMO it's the most boring race of the season every year. Sure they can't pass on other tracks, but at Monaco it's guaranteed that they won't. Sure I like strategy and pitlane drama as much as the next guy, but in the end, it is a race, not a parade.

pit lane passing. wooo!

i really want to like F1, but atm it is becoming a procession.

alonso couldn't pass at san marino.
nurburgring was a procession and so was barcalona.
manaco will be even worse.

but anyway, it is a cool race to watch.
/me prays for rain

At least might see some pileups..

Heh the best part of racing.
Hahaha i wish alonso get hit or something lol, and i wish kimi to get a cool car from mclaren... he will or maybe not, give fight to schumi if that happens...

The cars have clearly outgrown Monaco. If it wasn't such a historic circuit (and the home of many drivers) it would have been dropped many years ago on safety grounds alone. Having said that, safety has come a long way.

Man Monaco was such a beautiful track back then. Nice picture there
I think it will be interesting just because it's Monaco. Even if there's not a lot of passing it's usually quite an eventful race for one reason or another. A lot better than the new, completely characterless circuits that have popped up in the last couple of years....
@gunn: How is that guy drifting down the straight!
I liked the race last year some great overtaking and close racing wing to wing at times. The great pass by Trulli over the huge kerb

Yeah that was gutsy, but unfortunately he disturbed his car handling doing that, and later retired...

Nice pic, remember back then some drivers crashed into the seas.

Monaco '96 was going well until the guy with a 30+ sec lead had his engine blow Doesn't stand out as a great 'race' though....in fact the only three things I remember are Schumacher hitting the armco, Hill blowing up and Panis' lucky win....

Sometimes that is sadly all too true, but other times Monaco is one of the most exciting events of the year - my gut feeling is it's around 50% of the races there.

It's either really great, or i'm screaming at the telly asking why they bother to race here.

It is possible to overtake still and it does sometimes happen, I remember a Ligier, I think it was Panis driving, passing 7 cars, but the outright difficulty of it and the increased reliance on strategy by the teams this year means that we're unlikely to see much overtaking action. It could be the 3rd dead race in a row, and F1 really doesnt need that right now.

Let's hope then that this year Monaco turns up one of it's blinders and has our hearts racing faster than an F1 car...

Safety car during the pit window perhaps? I'm sure Sato will oblige.

I dont mind it raining heavily aslong as Alain Prost isn't visiting the track that day, I want to see a whole race.

It will propably be the worst race of the season. I expect one to two normal passes during the start. The rest will be decided by DNFs and pit-strategy.

Vain
it might be the worst race of the season but i think it's going to be the best qualifying of the season. 22 cars trying to set a quick lap in 15 minutes? CHAOS!

Yeah it could be a problem, the track is so narrow there, if you encounter traffic on your flying lap you are done!
Last years was good, and the year before had me on the edge of my seat towards the end. Monaco is my most looked forward to track in the F1, so i hope its gonna be a good race.

whoever qualifies in the top3 pretty much has a 100% chance of being on the podium, monaco and modern F1 just don't go together ;(
