Well, here's the story: I was watching tv tonight, holding a remote in one hand when i suddenly felt like it wen't a bit warm. I thought that it would be my hand heating it up at first, so i put remote on the table.
After 10-15 minutes (wanted to change volume) i took remote again and it felt extremely hot, so i dropped it, was a bit suprised, probably thatswhy i spilled it. Batteries rolled out, but since i've taped them inside (i've lost cover ages ago), it seemed a bit impossible. After i took a closer look it seemed like batteries, or at least one of them, had melted through the tape. I also attached a picture of it, taken few minutes ago.
Is it possible them to burn up until it bursts into flames? I'm afraid to leave batteries on even when i leave home now .
Any ideas what may cause this?
