But if you have No AV, then how do you know that you dont have any viruses?

I uninstalled and than ran the removal tool which cleans everything avg from the computer and then reinstalled and so far it's working fine. If it starts up again then I will run the temp fix found at the above link.

Reinstalling without using the removal tool will just set it back to the way it was before.

Hope the update comes soon to fix this problem.

Got a reply from AVG and they said to turn off gaming mode.

- Untick "Gaming Mode" and click OK

By having a brain.

Proper viruses aren't detectable by any of AV's anyway.

Yes, with help of sysinternals autoruns, procexp, and some other great tools.

Damn you telling me this just a tad late. Allready got a new computer, cause LFS was minimizing

yea it has been minimizing for me too and greenfish i cant get into advanced settings in AVG. it says error during plugin loading

Best bet is to download the latest version from the AVG site and also download the removal tool which is found here.....
http://www.avg.com/ww-en/download-tools

Then uninstall your current version, run the removal tool and install the new version.

I found the gaming mode will not come on automatically with the latest version and also the option to allow for trusted networks has been removed.

Looks like there might be a few bugs AVG are working on.
