Ah, the thing about tastes, thank god it gives an endless amount of discussions

On Inglorious Basterds: While I regard myself as a history film buff with a strong affinity towards WW2 (in so much as I find Band of Brothers just barely watchable, and SPR a completely awful movie, and only slightly better than the abysmal Enemy at the Gates), but I loved the Batserds. Don't know why, I simply loved it, especially Christoph Waltz' performance in it.

You loved it because it was a great piece of entertainment i guess It had everything, a good story, drama, action, comedy, the usual Tarantino cartoon violence, some outstanding performances. Every scene with Christoph Waltz was amazing.. a top quality movie villain if ever there was one.

I understand people have different taste, but for BlueFart to find a bit of fiction disrespectful is beyond me. I have no idea why he even watched the movie. It's a Tarantino film... what was he expecting?
I will admit that the script was good and it was funny at times.

Something different to the same old drivel, I was watching it with 3 other people and I already knew what was going to happen and I voiced myself before it did, and sure enough it did happen. Only thing that didn't was a chick on chick fight and a guy getting analy raped by a cop.
Just watched "Harry Brown"
a w e some
Saw Harry Brown last week and it was a fantastic display from everyone. Gutty and real portrayal of London urban life. The intimidation the characters and the settings.

Tonight was Law Abiding Citizen. Had only heard really bad reviwes of it but actually I was very pleased to have seen it. Fantastic! (ending lacked a bit imo but was still good)

Avatar next week! Get to see it in 3D(my first) next thursday! yaaaaay

Also baught Electra Glide in Blue the other week. A fantastic film, nice and open to interpritation(sp?) really really reccomend it. Shows the horror and corruption of society but with some added humour in it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070022/
Current Top Five:
  1. Fight Club (1999) 8.8/10
  2. The Boondock Saint (1999) 7.9/10
  3. The Dark Knight (2008) 8.9/10
  4. Body of Lies (2008) 7.2/10
  5. Public Enemies (2009) 7.3/10

  6. Green Street Hooligans (2005) 7.5/10
The reason that this one get's a special mention is because I've not seen it in some time, but it is a great look of urban Londan life from a soccer fanatic's prospective. I used to live in London, and I've seen more then a few of the characters real life counterparts because I have some mates that are just as crazy as they are! Great film.
Rendition a confusing movie to say the least. Whats with running a past and present story side by side with no clue as to them being past or present. Otherwise it was pretty good.
Hotel Rwanda

This is not an easy film to watch, but it's one of the best. Sadly it's all too easy to ignore human rights and to be honest theres not much else I can add, my words do the power of this film no justice.

Really, really disliked this film.

For a better look at the same subject, try Sometimes in April.
The Blind Side. just watched it the other day and i quite like it.
Saw 2012 last night, wasn't brilliant and was too long, about 2 and a half hours.

Saw the trailer for Avatar as well, god that looks awful.
The best film ever is Ultraviolet and here's why...

The star of the film is Milla Jovovich.

Now the problem with Jovovich films is that quite often we get a taste of just how awesomely athletic and shockingly beautiful she is but the film focuses on some plot line or other, when what we really want to see is Milla (or some bloke in a wig dressed like her) doing stunts and athletic killing moves in Matrix-esque fight scenes - a cinematic artform known as Jovoporn.

When it comes to Jovoporn Ultraviolet is by far the hottest steamiest action packaged bonanza of Milla Jovovich in interesting poses ver conceived.

The film does have a plot, but it doesnt let this get in the way of an endless stream of Jovoporn action sequences. Whereas films like the 5th Element give us one such action sequence, in Ultraviolet we get them at ever increasing frequencies throughout the film until eventually they are only seconds apart from each other.

It turns out that you can't have too much Jovoporn either, as each sequence is uniquely styled, the comic book styling of the movie elevates the action sequences to an art form, with each sequence brilliantly coreographed.

Jovovich is stunning throughout, and aesthetically delights no matter what hair colour she starts or ends each fight in - frequently ending each sequence in an utterly different outfit to what she started in, having killed 50 bad guys in just a few seconds.

As body counts go Ultraviolet does not disappoint with one of the highest death tallies you will ever see, but it negates any gore in favour of artistic style - which leaves me in little doubt that Ultraviolet is likely never to be beaten in the Jovoporn genre, making it by definition the best film ever made or ever likely to be made.
Quote from Becky Rose : Milla Jovovich.
.

I'd kill people to be crushed inbetween her thighs oooooo momma
Taking woodstock is unbelievable.
Law Abiding Citizen

I just became very attracted to you, and for obvious reasons .
(Any chick who likes Milla Jovovich = Instant Hottness, not forgetting programming prowess.)

Recommend a film you've seen lately.
