How people can be so different?
How people can touch the heaven and even yet chose the hell?
How people can feel the warm but prefer the cold?
How people can taste the honey and swallow the bile?
How people can try LFS and play rFactor?

Live for Speedwnd! rFactownd... ehhhh forget it.
Maybe because everything depends on the point of view. When you have found one that suits for you, it's not so easy for everyone to change it.
How people can feel the coolnes but prefer the hot?
How people can taste the bile and eat tons of honey?
Lately i've started to care less which is the best sim and more for where i can have the best racing, and i have to say from what i've seen on public servers at the moment rfactor wins this hands down. far too many noobs who dont give regard to racing rules on LFS at the mo
News at 11, people are different :dunce:

Seriously, it's their decision. And as long as nobody tries to force his views onto others, or "spread the truth" as some like to call it, everything's fine. I don't understand either why someone might dislike LFS, but their loss, I guess. Sometimes when I read RSC it looks like it's considered "cool" to dislike LFS, simply because it's so popular - and we all know that disliking something popular makes you a better individual, right? :shhh:

But who cares? If someone thinks LFS sucks does that actually make LFS suck? No it doesn't, actually it doesn't change the LFS we love one bit.

Partly helped by the fac there is rarely more than 10 people on public servers in the entire rFactor world.
Oh No! Not another "Lets all bash RFactor" thread!?
Please, no more! This is an LFS forum, not an anti-any-other-sim forum.
:Kick_Can_

How about a little respect to people that think different than yourself..?
Edit: comment aimed at Speed Soro

Well, from a culinary viewpoint: it's the variation in flavours that makes for a great meal.
Eat a jar of honey and you'll know what I mean.

maybe so but thats 10 people at 100% courtious against 100s of people with 50% courtious.

don't get me wrong i love LFS and am happy with the racing if there are good courtious drivers on the public servers. the point is this situation is rarely happening for me anymore and its getting very frustrating to the point where i'm starting to look else where for my racing fix.

Can I elect for a third party?

Playing paintball in cooler weather is more fun.

EEeeeww.... Honey.. I'll take the bile, please.

Give NK time, it will have the same problem of wreckers and bad drivers as LFS. LFS is alot older than NK in terms sim age and I think that has alot to do it. You get into the right server and you will have full grids of good players, well almost full. There is also league races that do not have these problems. I do agree though that more people could be courtious, maybe there could be training missions to help in this, haha like people that are crashers use the training missions anyways

I was talking about rfactor which has been around for a while- but i agree with you anyway. I have been playing LFS religously since S1 was released and never experienced problems with lack of talent/ awareness/ etiquette (from other racers). like seems to be the problem now, but as you say im sure this is a product of growing popularity.

Maybe i should join a league, now that i have some more spare time (completed uni ). that'll really make the gf laugh. she already thinks its funny how long i sit at my wheel by my PC. imagine how she'll react when i tell her that i have to be home and at my wheel at a specific time!!

so thats over 10 times the amount of courtious people on LFS
I play both... I like both..

I actually spend enough time with rF and LFS BOTH to tweak them so they are both fun..

People that just play LFS or rF with default settings for an hour and decide that either sucks are the people missing out.

Both games can be very fun, both have very strong points and both have some very weak points.. Anyone who says otherwise is closed minded or just plain ignorant.
Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations

guess from where that came from?

(and i don't mean one of it's popularest versions)

yes you did, I thought of that after i posted and was away from the computer, but nevermind illepall

Hehe I had the same problem with my wife, but she changed her tone after I told her about some of the leagues. ESL Pro pays drivers for wins? Please correct me if I am wrong, I have not looked for a long time but at one time I thought it was like that. Leagues are the way to go IMO, regular racing is just practice to me =) gratz on uni =)
I would play Rfactor a bit more if I could keep up-to-date with the mods / files needed for online play, as LFS, Rfactor is a great game, very talented teams working on both projects, but Rfactor has very talented mod developers. As for diversity Rfactor wins hands down, but then again I only need three tracks in LFS and the BMW Sauber F1.06 too keep me busy.
