How do i get windows to recognise that i just plugged it into a TV?

Never tried it myself but I highly doubt any TV is going to be Plug n Play.

What graphics card are you using? Ehat connection between the card and the TV are you using and what is the make and model of TV?

plug it in, restart windows, select the right input on the TV and it SHOULD work.. if not, something is wrong :P

thats the problem i dont know which input is which & i dont have the manual.

update: i now have it working apart from the text is all blurry & it chops off the bottom of the screen so i cant use task bar . I have created some custom reso's & fiddled with nvidia control panel but still cant see or use the task bar.

any ideas?

normally it just configures itself you tried fiddling with tv setting instead of pc

tried setting the res to the lowest possible?

If the TV has different picture modes (normal, movie, sport etc) for the HDMI input try changing those as well.

set your resolution and refresh rate low and use the nvidia control panel to move the screen position.

or you can just say fudge it and use svideo.

I believe it's a 50Hz TV and NO to S-Video

Set your Screen in windows to 1366x768 and 50Hz and reboot
It's might accept 1920x1080 and downscale... but IDK
