Hi chaps was just wandering if anyone could help me sourcing an asus p5k sound driver for windows 7, i've looked and can't find.

My Windows 7 downloaded it automatically. I also have a P5K. I don't use the onboard sound though, but I think it still works.

oh right, i'm talking about the onboard sound as thats what i use. mind just quickly checking for me if the onboard works please?

Look on Asus support page, and download the vista drivers, they should work.

The onboard works here. That's what I said, but I might've confused you a little.

I heard he overclocked his onboard soundcard.

Too much thermal paste on the soundcard chip

Just download the realtek HD driver: http://www.realtek.com.tw/down ... ypeID=3&GetDown=false

Ho and make sure sound is enabled in the bios....
