Hey guys

I am thinking of buying xbox 360 but I am a bit confused with the "new" one

that's coming out.

The question is simple which one should I prefer?

I dont really care about the design and stuff like that or how quiet it is...

Should I take the old one with 5 games(forza 3,halo odst and 3 other games) for 250 euro or the new one for the same price without games?

Seeing as you do not care about noise and design, then the only other new things the slim 360 has is one more USB Port, in-built WiFi and it is compatible with Xbox Kinnect. If these do not interest you, then just go for the older one.

Oh, and just to mention...The new slim comes with a 1 years warranty. However, the older 360's come with 3 years manufacturer warranty as standard for any issues, and unlimited warranty if it is the RROD. You can still get an older generation xbox repaired even if it gets RROD after the warranty runs out.

Slim.

Why buy old tech, when you can buy the new(er) improved tech?

Because old tech is cheaper

The thing is that the new one with one game (forza 3) the price will go up to almost 300euro

If money is tight, then the old one, but the new one is better, better enough to warrant paying a bit more for it (IMO)

well, i got the "old" one about 3 days before the new one was announced, but i wouldn't bother about the new one if you don't care about noise/looks. i got this (will be opened tomorrow when exams are finished). now same price as the "new" one with no real difference at all, except maybe a few quid, but might be cheaper where you're getting it.

also, F.Y.I. the slim being "kinect compatible" doesn't mean the old one isn't, you just need a little adapter to "kinect" it, which is supplied with the thing anyway. hope this clears it up for you and thanks to Nathan_French_14 for saying about the warranty, i didn't know that

Hehehe ok mate...

I'd say buy the newer one, save some money it'll be worth though.. The new one probably doesn't have issues like the older had.

When I played on the xbox I always had to set it up like this




But I think that it depends on the version you have. They probably fixed the cooling issue and RROD on the old one.
