"Cable going from the back of the computer" isnt what I would call a detailed description

Is it VGA, DVI, are you sure your TV resolution is compatible with what the computer is sending, resolution wise, etc?

Also, Plasma + PC isnt going to mix well unless you're a fan of heavy ghosting.

Blue plugs are D-Sub. Do yourself a favour and get a DVI cable

anyhow, what for video card are you having, and what os are you running ?

are you trying to use the plasma as a 2nd screen or your primary ( only one screen)

okayyyyy so. the problem is obviously that im using a vga cable, and i only have the d-sub option. ye? :P
sorry i would use better words, os means operation system, what you are running at your pc, like

windows 7
windows xp
windows vista
Mac os

what for tv do you have, i would like to have the type and brand, you will find the type on the front of your tv screen or on the right/ rear side sticker

About the D-sub, you are indeed correct that you need a VGA cable for that. This usually limits the display to the native resolution of the TV, so thats why i need the type / brand of you tv screen

windows xp.
You say that you have 2 outputs from the PC...1 from GFX card and one from Mobo.

I would guess that the mobo one is for an onboard GPU, which will be disabled when you plug in an actual GFX card.

and the tv information? (previous post)

so far its still possible to connect it up, it looks like that only the resolution needs to be setup correct.
that doesnt help me. sorry. if the input source is :d-sub" does that mean i need a "d-sub cable"? or can i get it working with the 15 pin cable i have atm...?

so just by browsing the thread, have you tried finding another port on the back of the computer? i have 2 vga ports on mine, but one is only working when i dont have a card in there, so i do have a card, which means that it doesnt work.

so try to find another and if that doesnt work idk
