Germany were even more impressive against Argentina IMO. Defense was tight, they were still fast and fluid and creative going forward, they are a really well organised and smart squad.
I can't see Spain beating them given that they struggled to score against Paraguay, maybe Netherlands will be able to come up with a strategy to stop them but I doubt it.
Okay, I didn't mean that Germany played bad or anything, and they will most probably win against Spain, but I highly doubt that they will win the championship, as the Netherlands also played very well imo.
Funny this comes from an someone, who is biased just because Austrians can't really stand Germans. Or someone who is jealous just because Austria isn't playing at all.
It will be hard to win the World Cup, but it is possible. And I wish we will win it, just to dig out this post of yours and shove it up your ass
finally... was about time
if theyd kept on defending like they did before germany would be out now
but after the game against argentina and spain playing as rubbish as they did yesterday i have almost no worries about germany reaching the finals
almost because im a little worried what not having mueller will do to the team and the possible lack of bright ideas this will cause
oh btw
no taking one for the team is what (i think it was) mertesacker did when he stopped a shot at the goal with his face... perfectly legal and he didnt even fall down cupping his face in his hands for 10 minutes like ronaldo or any italian player would have done
I went into work today and all the guys were talking about how great Germany are, it was shocking. So even if Germany doesn't win the cup, you can at least be proud that your team won the approval and admiration of the English, who traditionally hate everything German (except sausages, burgers and beer).
i honestly dont know what to make of that... whether i should be proud glad or frightened
if we keep this up maybe one day well get to the point where youll be happy to invite us round for an invasion of the british isles
They've still got Lahm, Podolski, Schweinsteiger and Ozil, you have nothing to worry about.
Yeah I said the same thing after the England game, it was nice to see a match where they weren't just playing for fouls all the time, it was just a shame only one team could play football.
I was also glad to see Brazil get dumped out because Lucio was such a pathetic diving ****head the whole tournament. Too much Italian football I reckon.
Funnily enough a highlands-dwelling colleague of mine sent me an email the day after the England match with the subject "What do Lahm, Podolski, Klose and Schweinsteiger have in common?"
He also said when he went to Munich for the away leg they were all singing "Luca Toni Is A ****" and Toni actually came across to the sidelines and sang along with them!
