hi everyone

i have bought a ATI 5770 today.
i have gived my old card (geforce 8800GS) to my unkel because his card died.

when i try to install the drivers from the software cd it will give a error with.
i had some problems with the installing the drivers. When i try to install the card it says:
Catalyts Install Manager doenst work anymore.
i have tried many things like:
-Open as administrator.
-Open as windows XP program
-Putt the setup in DEP list.

After googling i have found a solution for install the display drivers Not the catalyst control center,and that works.
only it wont install the catalyst drivers.

Version of the CCC = 10.7

Is there a solution to fix??

my systemspecs:

CPU = Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2,4 GHz
MEMORY = 3 GB Ram 800mhz
GRAPHICSCARD = ATI 5770 ( 1 GB)
HARDDRIVE = 750 gb samsung harddrive
KEYBOARD & MOUSE = cheap keyboard and mouse ( still working after 2 years )
WHEEL = G25 steeringwheel (not modded)
MONITOR = cheap HANNS.G 17'' monitor (still working perfect)
OS = Windows Vista Home premium

did you uninstall and remove any/all nvidia driver related software? did you remove the nvidia driver?

didnt thought about that lolz

Software likes to fight with other software...

i have removed/uninstalled all the nvidia drivers.
But still the same problem.

I had the same problem once, try downloading a point older version from the site... Or just download newest from the site, worked for me...

there's also a program you might want to run, unfortunately, i forget it's name, but it's function is to find any files relating to video card drivers and delete them... (that way you can start over with a fresh driver install, etc). sometimes a regular uninstall isn't enough, and there's some cruft left over.

its Driver Cleaner Pro

it will give only that error when it need to be installed.

-CCC setup start up
-it extract the file
-than it will show the startup screen of catalyst
-and u need to click on install or uninstall
-and when i click on install it give the blahblah doesnt work anymore.

When i moved from Nvidia 8600GT to ATI HD4870 i didnt uninstall nvidia drivers. They were until the end of my OS's days. No conflicts or anything at all, it just sat there, doing nothing. But yea, i wouldnt suggest holding 2 different types of drivers on ur PC. I just forgot to remove mine.
