Bunch of wreckers
I'm new here and really slow. I use default setup which maybe makes me even slower. But everytime I race I get plowed into by someone who doesn't even say sorry. Is this what live for speed is like? If so I"m outta here soon.
It depends on the people you race with. And in the demo, some people are just too stupid to race properly. Licenced racers are a lot better racers than demo racers.
Unfortunately as Flame said you do get a lot of problems in demo servers, try going to a few servers that are regularly moderated and you should get some clean racing, as for your setups try going to www.setupgrid.net or http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu/ and download some of the sets uploaded there, make sure to save them to your LFS\Data\Setup folder
Wreckers
Try Redline racing demo servers, they are manned by an admin or marshal for quite a large proportion of the day.
If there aren't any admins on and you get wreckers you can always post the replays to the Redline racing forum

http://www.team-redline.co.uk/forum/index.php

(you will have to register first)

Then we will ban them if necessary.

Just make sure you read the server rules and drive safely you should have some good racing.
thanks for the advice fellas!!
I've analyzed the demo servers and it seems that the ones that aren't full of wreckers are [AA] and RR, check them out

Additionally, there's something to be said for being too new and trying to race online. If you jump on servers 5 minutes after installing LFS for the first time you're really asking for trouble. If you have no idea what the tracks and cars are like you're going to be a massive mobile chicane and likely to cause problems online. It's better to practice offline for a while first and get used to the cars and tracks so that when you move into multiplayer (which is a big step in any sim/game) you have more knowledge and confidence. I'm not saying this is necessarily the case with you (since we haven't seen any of your driving), but given that you're calling yourself "really slow" it may be.
Agreed with amp, also while offline you can use AI to learn defensive driving. While they wont ram directly into you, they wont let you win.
You can also try the Training mode (first one in the main menu), where you'll learn the basics of car handling and overtaking.
