Hi dean, will check from my home pc but on just-ping there are 15 locations or so from USA.

Florida, U.S.A.:Okay 37.237.638.7184.82.156.138
New York, U.S.A.: Okay 24.1 24.1 24.2 184.82.156.138
(my area)

Santa Clara, U.S.A.: Okay 83.6 84.0 84.5 184.82.156.138
Austin, U.S.A.: Okay 38.9 38.9 39.0 184.82.156.138
San Francisco, U.S.A.: Okay 83.3 83.8 84.3 184.82.156.138
Chicago, U.S.A.: Okay 33.0 33.0 33.2 184.82.156.138
Ashburn, U.S.A.: Okay 13.3 15.7 17.2 184.82.156.138 - only 13.3 ping
Chicago, U.S.A.: Okay 35.9 36.2 36.7 184.82.156.138
Dallas, U.S.A.: Okay 45.2 45.2 45.4 184.82.156.138

Looks like its higher from the west coast, east coast looks great and central is pretty low too.
Quote from Franky.S :Not really what he was looking for now was it? Ofcourse the ping will be high for you, your miles away from the servers.

Results still relevent imo Take a look at the other US based servers in the server list. They ping at 180+. So the new ones are already better

They arn't relevant atall. Franky wanted some people from the USA to test the ping of the test servers which are, believe it or not, in the USA. Your results will be bad and the ping will be high as the servers arn't set up for you and your in the UK. Think..

If your in Cini why is your ISP bouncing you to New York City (NYC)
Quote from Bmxtwins :If your in Cini why is your ISP bouncing you to New York City (NYC)

it's the way the internet is designed, nyc is a major routing hub.
Quote from Bmxtwins :If your in Cini why is your ISP bouncing you to New York City (NYC)

Once the packets leave the ISP's network, the ISP has nothing to do with the routing.

As bunder said, it's just the way the internet works, the packet takes whatever path it takes to get there. It could have even gone to Vancouver, Canada first if that's the way it fell.

Thanks for the test results guys, Much appreciated,

Although i was looking for USA Based individuals to do the tests, All tests from any locations are valid, The pings seem reasonable to me, The bit thats giving me some pause for thought is the preety large number of hops that seem to be required even once inside the network.

Any thoughts on that? are the numbers above "normal" for people based in the US / Canada / South America?
For NASCAR Heat (less bandwidth required) , servers dont lag at all for me with 80-120 ping, and they arent in data centres. Pings for your servers range from 13-53 which is good, and shouldnt be a problem.

Will ask some users to do the test from their ISPs, we were having +350 in UK servers so something between 100-200 will be a positive step, 100 would be great but I don't know if possible from this distance.

I'll update later.

Could i just ask if anyone is having a problem getting an answer from Franky500.

I cant seem to be able to get him from the day i paid for the year in advance

Any ideas?
his last post was 22nd November 2010, 00:14. have you opened a support ticket?
he does not answer support tickets , so there is little else i can do,

He told me his Dad is now OK and said sorry for lack of support for those few weeks, he then asked if i minded paying early as he had spent a lot visiting his Dad and was a bit hard up, I paid him for the year to help and thats the last i heard. I have been with him for years but this time he is taking the piss
i've just sent him a text to give him a heads up. hopefully he'll be able to answer you soon.
Hi Birder,

Sorry i have not responded sooner, Although my father is ok there are other things going on that you do not know about, I did not intend (and do not intend to) take the piss,

I have re-applied the NKPro updates, Please let me know if there is any futher issues.

Regards,
Dean
Franky500: There are issues outstanding from the last support emails i sent you, maybe you could read them rather than me spend more wasted time

Try the email and support ticket from 21st September 2010 about ftp and ranking tool

if they're not there, he is going to ask you to re-submit the support ticket, which would actually waste more time. it would be so much easier if you re-submitted your support tickets. that way, they will be at the top of his list. this would actually be the quickest way and would reduce the amount of wasted time.

Good idea, but sending a third or forth chase is just not on and is not ever going to happen. Franky500 is one of the best people to deal with, hes helpful and trys hard but when he cant be bothered he really cant be bothered

Anyway i see he says he has sent am email so lets hope it arrives soon
Email arrived with part of the answer, i think the poor lads brain must be fried

Anyway nearly back to normal
Hi Dean,

I know there was some maintenance last night, but since 10min ago all our servers are off-line, no access to control panel either?

THX for having a look at it!
