well i downloaded a dodgy game and then a fake anti virus "thinkpoint" got installed i removed that with SUPERantispyware but now internet explorer pop ups just wont stop and it minimises all my games also there's a really weird sound aswell. what solutions do i have apart from a reinstall
Get some good antimalware software, I'm usually quite successfull with Spybot S&D, boot into safe-mode and let it do it's job. This will hopefully get you sorted.
i keep getting bluescreens with the mention of driver in top lines and a tgyimp.sys at the bottom. also when i boot up i get a send error report or do not send on ugfa6.exe
You can try locating these files in safe-mode and deleting them (or moving them somewhere just in case they serve some real purpose). Then you can run an antimalware scan again.
Undestand when i downloaded that [game] and it ****ed my whole pc up. I reinstalled my OS 7 times!
Don't download from there. Stop telling me to download from the lesbian section..Most of them are viruses
Try Malwarebytes in safe mode, start in safe mode then install it & update it.
Then run a complete scan.
Remove anything it finds.
Restart in standard mode, run it again. If it's sorted then fine.
If it's still there then try starting in standard mode, admin acct, press alt ctrl del IMMEDIATLY on startup, Task Manager, Kill the viral process when it starts, this may take several attempts, usually it crashes if you hit it with term frequently enough ( Or download and run rkill after hitting alt ctrl del on startup. ) & then run malwarebytes in this mode, you may need to reinstall it, if so, then into a different directory.
Combofix isn't for anyone to pick up and use, You have to be at least a expert or intermediate user to use that.
Malware bytes sucks to be honest, You need to go to some forums for computer help, It won't find stuff deeper than it looks, Even with the bought version, I tested it with the " Black internet " ( It makes IE pop up randomly with porn adverts and you hear random sounds ) and a redirection rootkit, As I remember I had a TDDS rootkit, And if you have one of those, You aren't going to find it.
The task manager idea doesn't work as most stuff can swoop off task managers sweep.
RKUnhooker, ESET online scanner ( Might have misspelled that. ) And Combofix, GMER ( Only found on highly advanced tech support ) and DDS. Update adobe reader, Clear your JAVA cache, As well as try HiJackThis ( HJT for short )
But like I said that stuff is only truly found on forums, But if you know what you're doing go for it.
Malwarebytes deals with most stuff and I charge for the serious stuff !.
Yup, your completely right but for most people that advice is right. And as the only safeish version of IE is 9 ( and who's running that ? ) I strongly suggest that any other browser is a safer bet than IE.
My advice is avoid the porn & (now) dodgy torrent sites.
And the task manager trick works if you hit it IMMEDIATLY on startup.
( At least for now ! and with SOME virus's )
But, if it's serious, you'll need to pay a tech to remove it. ( Que advert. )
Really, use a condom is the best advice to avoid std's. Be careful out there and use a braincell. ( Sorry, but as there are no girls on the net it's hard giving advice to imaginary people ! )
I had a computer for 3 years straight without having any sort of anti virus or spyware programmes and never once got a virus/malware/spybots. You sir, fail
