Got a problem with steering wheel (MS Precison Wheel)
I have the Microsoft Sidewinder NON FF version and when I use the gas/brake its weird.

The brake is always on, and when i accelerate its complicated.

I cant explain it but I have to have both feet on each pedal to make it work, if I have no feet on the pedal its half speed (the green bar)

How do i sort it?

It works fine in GTL.
its to do with the axis settings in the game
go into the options player controls and change the axis for brake accel to seperate maybe?

I did that,

Basically, if I put the axes to combined, I get nothing from the pedals.

If I put the pedals to sepearate axis the brake is always on, and the acceleration is on half.

I messed about with the invert things and that did nothing.

Thanks for your reply!
have you reassigned the axis?
do all 3 axis show when its on seperate?

Nope, its only on one axis, basically its stuck in the middle,

I need to make 2 axis, but how?

I installed the drivers.
i am sure its combined and then u assign the axis by clicking on it in the control options. But i have asked someone who has one if they could check, maybe they will swing by in a mo
I have the same wheel and pedals and i encountered a similar problem when using LFS. The wheel was calibrated fine in the Joystick settings but gave strange pedal results.
I have my settings to

Throttle brake axis - COMBINED

then go to axis/ff option and select recalibrate axis.
press the pedal and brake , this should calibrate the number 2 x-axis.

Nope ,

My steering wheel went a bit crazy and now nothing works (no gas no nothing)

I can see the axes moving in the little grid but nothing in game!
Can you tell me what your settings are for : Controls wheell/js

Mine are set for Axis/FF

[Shift] Sequential
[CLutch ] Button
[Hbrake ] Button

[Steer ] axis1 invert0
[thr/Brk combined] axis2 invert0

Select [thr\brk combined] and assign to axis 2 if not set
Then try recaibrating pedals the axes should move band- axis 2.

Force feedback - No
Calibration Lock - No
Remove Deadzones - Yes

Note - any text in black is selectable as a switch.

Snyper, thank you very much, it was the wrong axis .

All working great now, although i find the wheel very weird and my feet hurt pushing the pedals (Sometimes I dont realise im actually pushing them lol)

Thank you very much!
good to hear you got it sorted.... Happy Racing.

I agree about the feedback on the pedals, theres very lttle feel. Try bare foot racing..... it gets worse

I can recommend getting the full S2 licence, theres a lot to this game that can be explored in full S2.
