Ever since i installed the demo LFS will randomly freeze, at any time (in menus, while racing) to the point its locked completely solid, only way i can get out is turn off the pc and restart it only for it to happen again.. tried alsorts like closing every other running program etc but i cant make it stop freezing, have installed all the patches etc as they have came out and still no joy.. anybody have any ideas ?

yeah, ever since i first installed the game quite a while ago..
have even reinstalled the operating system since then, still does it

What are the specs of your computer?
Do you know what Frame rate you get?

This is an old thread, but rather than starting another one i thought id bring this one back, still havn't sold the problem.
it will just freeze randomly, nothing seems to trigger it but im convinced its something graphics related as the same install (played through another computer on my network) works fine without freezing.
the pc is nothing special, just a standard compaq pc with athlon 2800xp processor, nvidia geforce fx5700 and 1gb of ram
sometimes, rarely, it will flash up on the moniter "moniter out of range - set resolution to 1064x768" (that is what my pc resolution is set to) then freezes solid to the point i have to switch the pc off and restart.
it happened once before with gta san andreas i had installed but i renistalled that and it worked fine.
tried a reinstall of lfs, all the patches and nothing works.
if you need me to post up any screenshots etc let me know, would appreciate some help with it
