Some Newbie Technical issues
I am running a 1-year old computer with Windows 7 as the operating system (I don't know the specific graphics card installed but when I bought the computer it was listed as the "gaming" computer). I just bought a Logitech g27 wheel and began using it about 3 days ago. I have noticed a couple of issues. If anyone can help point me solve these, by pointing to different threads or other, that would be most helpful.

Problem 1) I have done a few laps of Westhill in the UF1 with no issues. I changed the track to Aston and changed cars (XRG, FXO, FZ5) and part way through a lap my screen went black, with each car. The image resumed 2 or 3 seconds later and I was in, or approaching the wall. Any thoughts?

Problem 2) Is there a wheel set-up guide? A couple of times I had to go re-calibrate the wheel to be aligned properly before each time I raced. I can't imagine that is the way it should be set up.

Problem 3) This might be a car tuning issue, I don't know, but with some of the more powerful cars the steering wheel vibrates violently (to the point of shaking the table it is mounted to). Is this merely a car tuning issue or do I have the wheel set-up improperly?

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey there, for wheel calibration have a look in the LFS Manual: http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Options#Wheel.2FJoystick
I shouldn't be too hard. If you haven't done so already, you can download the Logitech profiler for the wheel (from the Logitech website).

The wheel vibration issue probably could be solved by just doing a proper calibration (as above).

As for the graphics issue - it might help if you find out about the specs for graphics card. How much fps (frames per second) are you getting whilst racing - the numbers on the top left of the screen (should be on by default)?
Thanks for the quick reply. I will look at those wheel setup pages.

I remember seeing numbers around 100.0 in the upper left hand corner when I was driving. I will look into the graphics card though.

that could be your FPS (frames per second). also, you might need to configure your wheel in windows.

I think you should lower the force feedback strength. I had the same "problem" when I bought the G27.
