You do recall correctly. I used to own an '88 RX-7, and it didn't have that "Seagull" emblem. From 1991 on they used a logo that was supposed to represent a flame, and then switched to that winged thingy they have now seven years later.

Oh, and just to keep this O/T, here's a shot of an XRT skin I did a while back, done up in the logos and colors of the greatest internet radio station in the world. I'm working on an XRR version, which should be a bit nicer, as I'm learning a bit about skinning now.

my first private skin

This isn't the prettiest or most sophisticated skin ever made, and it certainly isn't the most subtle. However it does have a personal significance, in that the "Don't Lose The Music" campaign by the RNID is an effort to get young people to protect their hearing. Even if you don't drive with this garish blue and pink skin, if you're the kind of person to go to gigs or nightclubs then download it and take note of what it represents.

Here is my second skin, to go together with my first FZR skin which can be found in the FZR skin thread, but to save you the trouble I will post them here:

This skin has a space for numbers - to edit them just open the skin in a program such as Paint or Photoshop and place them inside the box, the save.

The FZR skin now has a Mobil number space. I am starting work on the FXR skin later today. Then I will re-post them as a set under a topic called "GTR SET".

Gday all,

Back again with another skin.
This time I have created a South Australian Police car for the XR GTR
Got bored at work, gave me something to do for an hour or two.
I re-drew all the logos, writing etc in FreehandMX, and did the skin in PhotoshopCS2. Pretty basic skin, doesn't look too bad in game.

Attached is the 2048x skin. 2 renders done in 3DS, and an in-game shot taken with Fraps.
