New Open Track Configurations (Track maps and layouts)

Hello LFS'rs,

This thread is for the new B patch that has been introduced to the Live For Speed community. A few of us have teamed together in order to provide an "official" pack of new configurations. This will hopefully be beneficial to InSim programmers, league organizers, and drivers. These layouts have track codes (KY31, FE12, etc) already created for them, however we would like help from you, the community, in order to give some of these configurations official names.

How to Install and load open configuration layouts:
  1. Download and place the layouts in your LFS/data/layout folder.
  2. Open LFS, and on the track selection screen, hold "CTRL".
  3. Then select the X or Y direction for each track.
"X" stands for the forward direction, while "Y" stands for the reverse direction.

Man, some of those pit entry/exits...

All in all, looks great.
Once the patch is released I will be adding the layouts to the respected name/image.

And yes I know some of those look funky. Thankfully some races you don't need to pit.
AS8 - "Club Long" or "Sprint"

Oh and btw, you haven't inlcuded Fern Bay layouts with the new turn (unused so far)

Those images aren't done yet, notice FE goes to FE13.

I like the sprint name though.
FE - Oval
Where did you get the clean layout templates?

I've got an idea for an Aston config
as10, as12, as15, as18, as20 and ky6 :wow: will be awesome
AS15 pit layout looks impossible

Most of these layouts would be used in leagues/private racing. In quite a few leagues, pitstops are not needed. A layout will be made to access pit road however. Afterall, all of these configurations are just layouts to begin with, so adding a few extra objects to enter pitlane won't hurt too much.
I saw KY6 and literally just exploded. Mess will take some time to clear up

Nice work Phil. Some fine looking tracks there

Btw, some of the FE ones dont show up. Dropbox either having a fit or links gone wrong :\

Edit: Just seen they aint finished. But theyll look mighty fine anyway
Stunning job!

What about SO2+3? Ok, we'd end up with a very narrow section between those two tracks, but you can make it technically, and I'm pretty much looking forward to it.

N1 tho phil, cant wait

Thanks, but I've found a .psd file with paths that did the job.

Here is my idea what I think will be a nice track based on Aston

Two hairpins with a chicane.

I'm expecting you don't want a pit road? Actually, I see a way to add it, but it will be another one of those silly pit roads.
Looks Imola-ish to me
If you guys need any help with the new layouts, count me in.
Looks Bananaphone-ish to me.
Pics for FE9 thru 13 are broken.
shame on you for not counting me in building layouts

Well, it's certainly not an endurance track where you want to change tyres, but I think it will be nice to drive nevertheless.
