All I was saying was that all those supercars would fall in the same class as the FZ5, nothing to do with the GTRs.

Unless you think having a rear engine and a mid engine car in the same class adds a lot of variety, which I dont
group c
lmp/lmgtp
wrc
turbo/ground effect f1
RWD competitor to XFR/UFR!

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I agree that in most cases I'd rather have something totally different from what we already have. In the case of a mid-engine supercar, I think it would be totally different from the FZ5. Enough so that they probably could not be run in the same class competetively.

Personally, the supercar got one of my three votes. Though, it was a toss-up between that and the stadium truck.

yup, my wish since S2 is out...
British Touring Cars and i would really like to see somthing a little Diferant Trucks or somthing y'know just to switch things up. i mean V8 Trucks. y'know just the Cabs. that would be cool seeing 12+ trucks trying to squeeze through the BlackWood Chicane *laughs to self*

where's Stationwagon?
Quote from BlakjeKaas :where's Stationwagon?

Something like a XF GTi station wagon... Would be cool In any game I ever played I always liked driving station wagons... I remember in GT2 I had this subaru legacy station wagon, I loved racing it! (Untill my TV broke down, the car should have been yellow, but the colours got busted and from that point on I had a pink car :schwitz
I think mid engined supercars would be a bad mistake, they'll be quick in a straight line, but not as quick as GTR cars until 100+ mph and they'll be fairly uninspiring to drive, either easilly held oversteer or (most likely) masses of understeer. The other big issue with them is setups would have to be pretty much fixed so they remain road cars rather than ending up with full race suspension like all the other cars in LFS and not being like the real thing at all.

Quote from Rappa Z :yea, the FZ250 looks just like a f550, so if it had more power we'd have a super car.

Who cares what it looks like it's a 911, nothing like a 550.

take a look at the back of a f550 and the FZ5. Then the front takes on a more 911 turbo look. It's another mixed car in lfs.

60's Muscles!

My second favourite would be an 80's B-group rally car (Delta S4, Quattro, 205 T16...) for rally-x!

Quote from BurnOut69 :People keep thinking about the posters they have in they room...its not about a certain car, its about a car class. Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lambos sure are cool, but all of them are supercars...just like the FZ5. I'd say we already got one.

On the other hand, theres nothing any close to a 80s Group C car or Le Mans prototype, which IMHO would add a lot to LFS.

The FZ5 is no supercar.
Quote from Gunn :The FZ5 is no supercar.

Indeed. Would be nice to see a FZ60 for example. Wider, lower, more powerfull, more lighter and with mid engine. Something like the new Koeningnnsegg

Supercars these days weight 1500-1600kg and drive like crap. You described a racecar, not a supercar.

.. thats not what motor trend said about the new V8 twin turbo saleen S7

Bit of an odd remark given what I've read/seen/heard/been told, I'm sure you've driven enough to comment though.

I'd primarily like a lightweight front-engined rwd low-powered (<200bhp) normally aspirated club-level race-car. Don't car about it fitting into classes, they generally don't seem to work anyway.

Yes!!! Audi S1! 600hp, 4wd!
Le Mans Prototype / GT1 car :smileyrai
I voted Lemans prototype/gt1 - but i'd much preffer an old Group C car from the Jaguar XJR15/ Porchs 962C hayday.

Mmmm, very true. Well...thats what a supercar should be
i think that a 60's f1 car would be great

also i think that will be really cool to race a muscle car against an lx6/fzr in South City

Well, I certainly haven't driven any of these things, but the surprisingly chunky weight of most modern supercars is a matter of public record. I can't imagine that they feel fantastic in tight corners dragging that much mass around. Happy to be put right if anyone knows better.

Like an Elise perhaps? No, wait, they're not front-engined are they? But something in that ballpark? Sounds good to me.
Cue-Ball,

The cars I woud like to see most are not listed in your poll nore is there an Other option.

A small light weight Front Engine RWD coupe or Full Fendered Roadster to compeat with the XFR/UFR class on its in own new class. Think sonthing inspired but cars like the Datsun 510, BWM 2000, Miata, Fiat Spider. Small classic sports car. Raced prepped with a safty cage of course.

Aside from that we need a good Rally class and Touring car class. Currently in LFS we have sever classes of street cars, UF, XF/XR, TBO, LRF & LX4, we have 4 classes of open wheel, MRT5, FOX, F08 & BF1, but we have only 2 classes of full bodied race cars, GTR FWD and GTR 500. I would really like to see more variaty in the choices of Full-Bodied Race-Prepped cars in the future.

Just my thoughts.

1600 kg? Maybe the Murcielago (1650kg), but most supercars are in the 1200kg range. (Zonda F is 1230kg, K'egg CCX is 1180kg, Enzo Ferrari is 1244kg)
