Time for a new laptop
I'm thinking of getting a new laptop because next year I'll go to high school and I need one.I want to play last games (and sims ) on the market so it must be designed for gaming. After a few minutes of search, I found this:

Asus G53SW-SX098V--> very complicated name, but who cares anyway?

You can find its specifications here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrB2jLgW1qY

I read some reviews but I want to know your opinion.I wanted to buy an Alienware M14x, but they don't ship to my country.

So what you think about it?

Budget: 800-1000 euros
Screen:14'',15'' or maybe 17''.

The price of the Asus laptop is 1000 euros.
Err.. budget, preferred screen size, etc?
That one I beleive would run LFS like a charm, but in the annotations is puts "Duel Core" over top of "quad core".

That, and I would need to price to be able to tell you what I would do.

The i5 2410m is a dual core CPU (no idea why the video says Quad).

My computer runs LFS at about 50 FPS, but I don't buy the laptop just to play LFS.I want to play any game on the market with high graphics settings.
  1. N73Jf - dual HDD, usb3, i5, 17.3 inch GT425M
  2. N73Jn - dual HDD, usb3, i5, 17.3 inch, GT335M

  3. N73SV - dual HDD, usb3, i7, 17.3 inch, GT540M
I have the N73JQ (n/a anymore already?)

Why go for less?

SSD in main slot. The important stuff. in the other an HDD for storage of movie crap and all things you can go without.

Ah See, all I care about is that you can still play LFS

No problem with that, because playing LFS is very important for me and maybe I'll buy a license too ( that would be awesome).

..........And now we are off topic
Thank you very much for the suggestions and for that shipping method .
I'll think more about getting that Alienware M14x.Here is the tech specifications link: http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-M14x/pd.aspx

What you think about this?
No USB3
No second drive slot
No 17 inch screen
Unprofessional look which make selling difficult after a year or two.

Nah... You are just another short term thinking kid

Look at what specs if you are only looking at generated shiny "photo's".

I hope you are talking about the M14x and not the MSI GT780R because the latter is a really good deal.

Yes he is talking about M14x because GT780R has USB 3.0, 17.3" fullHD screen and 2nd drive slot. :P
I love how the GT780R looks very conventional but quite the different story underneath.

More exagerrated version of this effect can be seen on Lenovo ThinkPad T-series laptops :з

Yes indeed. Looks tough but it isn't. It's just a cheaper clone of the old IBM Thinkpad series, which can really take a beating.

Not exactly what I meant, but your point is still valid :P

You're right about the drive slot, 17 inch screen and USB 3.0, BUT 2 things that I must mention:
1.Price: over 1500$ (in US, because in my country is much bigger). My budget is 800-1000 euros.
A 17 inch laptop would probably be too big and heavy for my needs (I need it at high-school).
2.Unprofessional look which make selling difficult after a year or two?The M14x is just like a Lambo, it looks like a spaceship and the specs are really good for me.Let's say you buy a car and you want it to be painted like a rainbow, but you think:"I'll buy the car with grey paint, because I can sell it with a better after a few years".Sorry but I can't think like that. And I know, you will say again that I'm a short term thinking kid. This is just my opinion.
Anyway, thank you all for giving my alternatives and showing me the bad things about my choice.
Still, maybe get another machine. Alienware got crap after Dell took over it, and DELL IS CRAP.

Ohh, I'll keep that in mind.Maybe Asus G5SW-SX098V?
Only companies that make good gaming laptops are MSI and Sager.

In this moment, I'm checking Sager's official site.Later I'll have a look at MSI.
Look out for international carry-in warranty as well. It'd benefit if you bring it along often when travelling abroad. ASUS offer excellent warranty package without extra charges. Well, that's if their product even fails lol.
OK, thank you for the advice.
