Hmm, weird. I actually quite liked the game. Maybe it's just too popular to hate on NFS to not jump on the bandwagon. If you really want to enjoy it though, you have to play it on hard, if not extreme depending on your skill level.
When you actually have to try your hardest to get through some of the stages (I played some stages over five or six times in order to beat them with all resets) the game is fun. Definitely being under appreciated on here imo.

There's no story line, just some random blah blah about "drive fast or die, or no, drive fast or restart".
Well there is, it's just (poorly) told like that indeed.
I guess most players don't care about plot and logic any more.
BTW, according to Black Box, the Nissan GT-R and the VW Scirocco belong to the same performance level. The GT-R is as fast as the One-77, which almost beat a Huayra. Therefore, our devs are not working on any "slow FWD", it's a monster ...
On the other side, Ford Police Interceptor Black Box edition eats the Huayra for breakfast.

Yeah it's all unrealistic, but the subway dodging really was epic. Made my heart pump a little faster.
I played it at a friend, don't like it. But the OST is one of the best I have seen/listen to in quite some time. Only better I can think of is the GTA -SA one.
