After having issues with ports, we have managed to create a server that our friends can join quite easily with full admin control.

Me and one friend were on the server for a good hour after we managed to get it working. Today, a different friend attempted to join, and looks fine to start off with, but after a good 30 seconds, he says I start to lag, then he gets booted, even though I can see him perfectly fine until he does.

He suggests that it may be his crummy internet, any ideas?

Hi, yes, quite possibly it is something on their end.

What type of connection is he using? i.e. if he's using wi-fi or tethering via phone etc., get him to connect via a direct connection (ethernet).

If possible, ask him to run tests from both www.speedtest.net and www.pingtest.net and post the results here.
