This thread is embarassing. I'm in the middle of trying to convince a handful of people to try out LFS and it turns out that if they come here to the official forums one of the top threads is about how to play cops and robbers? Gad, they'll think LFS is full of 10 year olds.

There are alot of players, who won't follow the rules, this morning a police chased me, it was very fun, but some idiots started chasing me and the police too, and it ended up crashing. We started kicking/banning the mainwrecker, but he told he's innocent and WTF are you doing.

BTW, I would like to be an admin helper, it gets annoying, when nobody is really listening to you and thinking its destruction derby.

CnR is just for letting off some steam, I've only ever played it with people I know and trust and who know the rules.

I've not been in the public server for CnR but it sounds like its going the way of oval racing and the FOX at South City.

i have just played this, it can be fun, but unless there is a few cops to help ban the idiots, then it just does not work.

and the genral lee turned up, which we struggled to catch just like the real thing

Now I have only had this game for a few days. I joined the server and sped away from the cops, I accidently crashed into another cop and I was banned from the server by voting...?

Where can I find the rules for this?

So what do you do? Just drive 30mph around doing absolutely nothing?

Just go to a RACE server and you'll see, what it really is.

This overflow of CnR Servers seems to be a "trend", that probably will end soon.

Maybe change the name to just city driving? I spent a couple hours on the server one day and I assumed it was cops and robbers, like the name of the server says.

Naa It's ok. I love this game to bits and I'm not going to let the silly cops and robbers kiddy servers ruin my fun.
I had another go yesterday, I was the ONLY cop in the server and someone tried to ban me again for crashing into him.
I will be giving the cops and robbers a wide birth, seems to be full of childish kids. I hope they had fun without any cops... illepall

Cops n robbers = appeals to kids
Ban vote = authority
kids + authority = tears and tantrums

Played CnR for the first time yesterday, but there were too few cops so it got a bit... chaotic. The whole server was playing it like real "Cops and Robbers", though. The main point was to somehow get the attention of a cop and then have a chase and try to get them off your tail. Inbetween was either peaceful driving or... "getting attention". Anyways, like that it was LOADS of fun

But for those real-life simulation freaks... "Cops and Robbers" is a extreme misnomer. CityDriving or something like that would be much more appropriate, and weed out alot of misunderstandings, too. For example I'd never expect to get kicked/banned for GIVING A CHASE ON A "COPS AND ROBBERS" SERVER illepall [/caps off]

AFAIK, you can still read the forums, when youre banned, so there is a small chance.

ok, i have been on there, somone had a go at me for being on the wrong side of the road, i said "so catch me", and i got "spec 2 mins OR BAN"

this isnt cops and robbers - its 1984!

i only ever played autocross CnR when i didnt have a wheel. i managed to getaway with calling the cops my bitches

um....huh? Why would you want to spend your LFS time driving at 30mph and obeying laws...dont we get plenty of that in real life?
