First of all it's my 1st post on this forum so i say HI guys.

I have atypical problem with my steering wheel.

I bought it in 1997 i think to play racing PSX games, it was working just fine.

Now I tried to race on it in LFS but there is a problem i dont know how to solve.

I dont know my wheel number, serial, model, anything, i threw out box years ago.


Now onto the problem.

I supose my pc doesn't detect wheel as a wheel but as a joypad. Because of that, many buttons shown on picture doesn't work. Handbrake and pedals are working fine. Biggest problem is when my wheel is in position 0 my wheel in game is turned right as shown on screen below.

When i connected wheel to the PSX and PS2 it was working Alright.

So here's my question. Does some1 know what model of wheel is this or have any solution to my problem cuz i'd rly like to start racing on a wheel. Or should I accept the fact that this wheel isn't going to work.

Well i found this is MT 156 but i have problem with configuration. Can't find any drivers for windows7. If some1 can help me please post here or message me, otherwise i throw it out of window hehe =)

You're better off buying a new wheel..
DFGT is cheap if you cant afford a good wheel

As I suspected. If I'm to buy a new wheel it must be good. Can you recommend me any?

- Logitech DFGT if you want to pay the minimum and still having a proper wheel (drivers, support and build quality).
- Logitech G25 if you want a cheap used wheel (with its risks)
- Logitech G27 and cheap Fanatec wheels if you want a new one with good quality.
- Fanatec high end products and Thrustmasters T500RS if you are willing to pay a lot of money.

Have you actually assigned buttons and tried calibrating it on the Axes/FFB settings?

Try to recalibrate your axes and then press lock button. See the picture below.

Yes i tried. I dont know, today my wheel doesn't work anymore hehe. Car accelerating on its own all the time and also it's turning maximum left all the time. I calibrated wheel on windows and in game. Dunno what the problem is, i'll just buy a new one. The problem also might be in that when i turn it maximum left its fine but when i turn it maximum right it starts vibrating. Dunno.

There is an awesome program which i discovered recently called DXTweak. if there are any calibrations issues, you will be able to sort them out with that for sure. It's a bit of a power users tool, but if you can get your head around it, it's so useful.

Old thread already but just want to write to say thanks to everybody that tried to help me. Also maybe some1 will find this program posted above helpfull.

I bought Thrustmaster F430 and it's totaly awesome. I wouldn't imagine better wheel atm. I know you would

i have get windows 7 myself if your have problems with your wheel there is no windows 7 drivers made for your wheel I am running windows xp pro its works properly with my wheel i will be adding it with windows 7 so i can run my racing car.this is for anyone that is having problems with there wheels on there cars.i hope this can help you good luck.
