Suur released from LLM Roster.
As of 14th July 2012, LLM Managers have come to terms on the release of Rihard "r1hard" Suur from the team roster. A big part of this decision comes after the events of the 2012 Kyoto 500, where for his actions at the race, Rihard was given the black flag and subsequently a 3-month ban from all New Dimension Racing events. Other reasons for his release shall stay withheld to prevent further damage to his reputation.

With that said, we all wish Rihard the best of luck in his future racing efforts.

Another Lithuanian Joins LLM

Erikas "zenkiukas" Bakðenskas joins the Last Lap Motorsports roster. Erikas is friends with teammate Karolis, also a Lithuanian. Erikas will be joining us at GT2 at WE1, and should be looking to make an appearance.

GT2 World Series 2012 Round 4 - 3 Hours of Westhill - Hard work pays off...usually.

As predicted by the very small time difference between the GT2 field of 28 cars, this 3-hour-race had a lot of action, with high-contact racing, risky overtaking maneuvers which provided very intense, competitive racing and also inevitably, some crashes.

The race was ultimately won by Western Wolves, followed by Team Vires with an impressive race and with Genuine Racing Pro finishing 3rd, with this trio also making the Professional class podium.

In the Amateur class, K&S Racing scored an amazing class win in their GT2 debut, while also briefly leading the race overall, after a race-long battle against runners-up BAZINGA. Genuine Racing Am bounced back from an early connection setback to complete the Amateur class podium.

On the LLM side of the race, things also turned out to go better than expected. Our Professional class FZR, driven by Anton Moroz and Pawel Kulijewicz finished in a satisfying 12th place overall (8th in class) after starting 16th from the grid in what was a relatively calm race for them, where they managed to get through the major accidents and staying out of trouble throughout the whole race.

Last Lap Motorsports' Amateur class XRR had a more eventful race though, and after having to start from the pits, in 27th place after failing to set a time in qualifying, they put on a charge that started by avoiding the Turn 1 mayhem, with the debuting Erikas Bakðenskas making a slightly nervous but steady stint before handing the car over to Nathan Lamothe a bit earlier than expected due to a puncture. After taking the car, Lamothe quickly turned up the wick to recover time lost and even gain some more spots after the only Safety Car situation of the race before giving the car to Jordan Lavrikov for the finish. Lavrikov kept going on the attack during his whole stint, and by the end of his stint he brought the car home in 15th, a position which he managed to hold while struggling with very old tyres, which unfortunately were enough to put him a lap down, taking the unwanted first of the lapped finishers.

The Revolutionary Racing Leagues' Am class entry, the only bus-..sorry, FXR in the field, driven by LLM drivers Rui Pinto and Matt Kingsbury was a surprise. Starting from a low 25th on the grid due to the car's massive disadvantage in top speed on the fastest track of the calendar, Pinto and Kingsbury could only hope to keep up with the rest of the field, let alone go up the order. But both Rui and Matt's race pace was very consistent and that, combined with avoiding the Turn 1 accidents, two flawless pitstops, and a Safety Car that got them back on the lead lap plus taking advantage of some more accidents ahead of them allowed them to go up the order during the race. By the time Kingsbury gave the car back to Pinto for the final stint, they were up to 18th. Pinto gained two more places, and with two laps to go still managed to take 15th place from a struggling Jordan Lavrikov, only for his connection to give in, putting all of the Bus team's hard work to waste. Matt still got back in the car to do the final lap and finish the race in a heart-breaking 24th, 2 laps down.

The next event in the GT2 World Series Calendar will be the 3 Hours of South City, taking place on September 1st, in a month's time.

Unfortunate Events at GT2WS

Last Lap Motorsports saw some great racing at South City, however the race also ended in dissappointment as top 10 hopes were slashed. Pajkul had qualified the #26 FZR to 12th place and after lap 1 was in 9th. After avoiding the major pileup, Nathan drove the #25 XRR up to 13th place, with Rui's #27 FXR in pursuit at 14th. Caution flag flew for SpdoRacing's rolled XRR under the bridge. Nathan, under yellow, dropped to 25th as his screen minimized and he crashed head on into the wall forcing him to pit for repairs. Nathan battles his way up to 14th place by the end of the 2nd hour, though clearly a top 10 possibility was lost here aswell. Anton took over the #26 FZR, and when making an effort to pass Conquest Racing Amateur for 7th position was pinched to the wall and severely damaged the suspension ultimately resulting in an ending position around 20th position. Rui, Cem, and Matt had problems throughout the race and eventually parked it for 7 laps to roll across the line at the checkered. Ray took the #25 XRR's drivers seat and though driving an impressive pace, felt his tire going flat with a few laps to go. The tire finally punctured on the last lap, allowing for Raptor Gaming to pass, however Team Rock Racing had accidentally pitted a lap early, thinking the race was done. This allowed Ray to resume in 14th position. Look for us at the 6 hrs of Kyoto!

Decent Results at WTBO Round 1

Jordan and Nathan raced the 1st round of the WTBO series, having a decent showing. Jordan qualified on 8th position and Nathan on 9th out of a 25 driver grid. Both drivers lingered in the 7th position area and as they came to the last few laps Nathan was 8th and Jordan 9th. Nathan however with 2 laps to go punctured both front tires and brought out a safety car. Jordan took home 8th place, however.

New Driver Signings

On other news, 2 new drivers join the Last Lap Motorsports roster. Both had been seen driving GT2 WS with Scuderia GP Team. They believed that they had reached their maximum potential at SGP, and are looking to improve. After Saturdays positive drives in GT2 World Series, they agree that they may be able to benefit here. We also feel that both drivers can be valuable in the future.

Remco Majoor and Damian Eikelkamp, a warm welcome to both.
Stupid GT2 race, yesterday. Also worth pointing out that Revolutionary Racing will not do the 6 Hours of Kyoto by option as a result.

Anyway, Welcome Remco and Damian!
Welcome
thank u
grats

Our roster is getting stronger and stronger...

Right after the announcement of the arrival of Remco Majoor and Damian Eikelkamp to Last Lap Motorsports, we have another new member in Cem "turkishcan" Dalda! Cem has been a keen racer of the affectionately-named Bus, the FXR, for a while, performing way above the car's limitations and producing amazing results, but he is now open to driving other cars in LFS, and we are definitely looking forward to racing with Cem in the very near future!

And also joining us, from Scuderia GP but still remaining as a member of his team, we have Yannick "yanki" Lemmens! As part of an agreement with LLM Managers, he will be helping us out with anything media-related.

Welcome to Last Lap Motorsports, Cem Dalda and Yannick Lemmens!

It's a day of returns for Last Lap Motorsports

Last sunday the 16th of September, 4 drivers have come to terms on joining the LLM roster.

Andrius "insaneltu" Sakalas is the new addition to the team. He crossed paths with us at the Live for Slicks Test Round and had a decent showing, that was however marred by some incidents which prevented him from doing better. This however, was enough for Ray Kingsbury to invite him into the team.

Mindaugas "Mindaugas.S" Stankus has agreed to return to LLM after his former team, MTDZX went on hiatus, and he is massively keen on making a far better impression than in his last LLM stint, marred by account sharing issues and attitude problems. However, with all of that hopefully settled, he is a very competitive driver and has the speed to prove his opponents that he is no pushover.

Arnas "Pauliko." Narijauskas is coming back to LLM after personal issues stopped him from making an impact on his last stint with the team, which led him to be excluded for inactivity. Now with his problems sorted, Arnas now hopes to take part in LLM's racing efforts

Jesse "jepsertti" Bruce
is a young finn who has decided to return to LLM after spending some time in -TRR-. This young man is full of ideas, and even though he is still a bit shy and inexperienced about doing league races, he could be a very fast driver in the future.

So everyone, please give Andrius a welcome, and to Mindaugas, Arnas and Jesse, welcome back!
