Gmail hacked!
Not sure what has happened but it seems the password entry section of gmail has been hacked so that when you type in two same passwords it thinks that the passwords are not the same (even tho they are).

Has anyone else had this happen or knows of a solution?

I cant access my email or create a new account . So its goodbye gmail as there is no way to conact them. Which is crap.

Why are you sticking in your password twice if it is an existing account? The error is on your end as I've just setup a new mule account without issue.

Please power off your computer and return it to the store where you purchased it. I imagine PC World.
Classic Ant thread.
inb4 CheerioDM.

If you haven't done any precautions about keeping your password safe, then it's your own fault. Gmail keeps nagging you to set your phone number in case of emergency.
Erase all history (cookies).

I was attempting to reset my password, it requires confirmation of a new password hence entering it twice.
What is a mule account? Can i ever get my info back?

This problem is part of a much wider online bullying problem. I have software which protects password sensitive pages but it hasn't stopped the hacking.
My paypal has been hacked twice. Windows keeps telling me someone else is logged on when i shut down (when there isnt) ??.
I have also been bullied elsewhere online. What can i do about it?
Im not just whinging for the sake of it. These things effect everything i do online & are a clear invasion of privacy.

I can't think of anything software-wise which could help protect your password, unless you keep passwords stored on your computer and want them encrypted. The main thing to remember about passwords is $ymb0ls do not help. There are three simple ways to steal passwords.

One is a keylogger, so no matter what you type if you have malicious software on your computer it could steal your password that way (they can also read copy/pasted data), and login fields are easy to detect on web pages. Which is one reason why when I code software I always have random internal names for username and password entry fields.

The second is brute force, and symbols do not protect you here. The only real protection is length.

The last is packet sniffing, this is more complex but is often used in corporate espionage. In this case using a secure connection (https) rather than http is a simple and effective form of protection.
I received notification of wrong security certificate (SSL) - Verisign Class 3 Primary by Thawte has invalid digital signature.
Known issue to any of you?

edit: problem solved, fresh standalone installation worked unlike refreshing single certificates.
