Here's a random snow picture from a few weeks ago, rocking the 16" steels

Planning on getting rid of it fairly soon though, I'm wanting an Audi A3 Black Edition
My new daily driver. Sold the Cossie looker and bought something in little more original condition. '89 Sierra 1.6 (carburated Emax Pinto powah). It's quite mint in and out, little things here and there but pretty perfect for something I payed 600 euros. Quite the time machine actually, shame that the original radio/cassette player only worked for two days.
Pictures don't make justice, didn't have a change to photo it when it was all clean and shiny two weeks ago, but these have to do for now.

Seems like it's in a very good condition for such an old car. Great catch

Is that an electric fanheater screwed to the transmission tunnel...?

That is a really nice Porsche 928 you've got there. No wait, sorry my mistake, t'is a Sierra.
I still harker after a 4 door Sierra (was it the Sapphire?). Something about them just tweaks my nipples.
Nais Sierra!
Undercover, just before some fun ride.

TY for the nice comments.
That thing on the side of the transmission tunnel is an inner heater. Pretty much must have in Finnish winter. It is wired from the block heater, so when you put them on hour before drive, the engine isn't freezing cold and the inner heater has cleared the windows from ice and snow.

Gotta admit I didn't get the 928 joke?
Sapphire is the nickname for the 4-door Sierras yes. This is actually my fourth 3door Sierra, but first of the second generation. Well ok it's my fourth car, only have owned/own these.

The designer of the Sierra claims he got styling cues from the 928 (most visible in the 3 door apparently).
They are defiantly an enthusiast car these days. You either like them or you don't. Bit like my love of the Ford Escort Mk6. Not everyone gets it, but they twitch my nether. Especially the vans.
Ah now you mention this I actually recall reading about it someday.
Cars like this are an acquired taste I'd guess.

Nice 2nd sierra, would recommend changing the head though, the Emax is a small port, low flow head. sure a 1.6 or 2.0 will fit

Close, it was the older 3-door model with the rear quarter window that was meant to look like the 928's. The designer explains it in Top Gear season 1 episode 3.

That's not an older model,it's just special coupe modification of the same model. Wasn't it even with cosworth badge? I don't know that exactly...
I am super professional now haha
But they used the wrong photo, it was in my sad days....

lmao, that website domain.

The one Matrixi posted is a mk1 model. think its an XR4i 3 door going by the rear spoiler stack. Cosworth 3door had a slightly different layout and was on the mk2/facelift.

This one looks like it's the USA model, Merkur XR4Ti. Very similar to the European Sierra XR4i, but different engine (turbo US Pinto). The legendary whaletale Cossie you guys are talking about, was made from the mk1 Sierra. Mk2 had a Cossie too, but this is the more conservative looking 4-door Sapphire, a "Taxi-Cossie" as we Finns call it.

Oh and about Eclipsed mentioning the word "coupe", Sierra's never were coupe, just hatchbacks. The styling of the 3dr just seem to make people describe it as a coupe.

I won't be swapping the head, just don't see much point in it. However I'm planning on building a 2.0 Pinto with a little more poke. But this is only happening if I have any money and energy left after my main project car is ready for the hoonings of summer 2013.
Here we have a Range Rover in fuel saving mode.

Ouch, what happened?
Bearing failure on aux belt tensioner. Which was awesome as that belt powers the PAS and water pump (plus a few others). And the belt flapping around dislodged the pipe from the oil cooler. I was able to plug the oil cooler leak on the road side, but that tensioner has had it.

I tried plastidip on my winter wheels

It failed.

What went wrong?

I've been considering plastidip for quite some time now, but that just.. meh.. Don't wanna spend money on something that I will regret.
Did you prime the surface by mashing it up with some sandpaper?
