When i ask this, i mean along the lines of the Infiniti M30, IS300 Sportcross, Lexus ES250.

What are some cars that are affordable, but you just never see because they either sold horribly (a'la ES250) or just small market flop (a'la IS300 Sportcross).

Mass produced meaning at least 5k made and in an otherwise straightforward no luxurious handcrafted assembly.

Very bad sales, only went in production for 2 years.

What impresses me is that Fiat multipla sold more then 1 unit.

Peugeot 106 Rallye, both S1 (1.3) and S2 (1.6).

Both pretty rare compared to other 106s. Not low numbers because they were a flop though.

22B STI?

In 1998, Subaru of Japan produced a widebody, coupe WRX STI called the "22B STI" produced between March and August 1998. The 22B was used to commemorate both Subaru's 40th anniversary as well as the third consecutive manufacturer's title for Subaru in the FIA World Rally Championship. On the release of the sales, all 400 Japanese units sold out from 30 minutes to 48 hours, depending on the report.[4] Another 24 were produced for export markets—16 for the UK, along with another 5 for Australia, and 3 prototypes. The 16 cars imported to the UK were modified by Prodrive, with longer gear ratios, and UK specification lights. Because 50 22Bs had already been imported privately into the UK, Subaru had to wait until 1999 to register the 16 officially imported cars under the VCA's Single Vehicle Approval scheme.

depends on the market, any generation of Mustang and Camaro is pretty rare here in Germany, while AMG and M Wagons are not. I doubt that all those cars listed here were even on sale in the US at all.

The Daihatsu Copen is a pretty cool car too. But I would only fit into it without legs and head.

That's not mass produced. That's what I would call a limited edition.

22B's are still nice though, I've only seen one ever on the roads, looks amazing.

As a former Eclipse owner can say,that pretty rare is generation 1 (1990-1994) Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX with 2.0 Turbo engine and all wheel drive.

Skoda 130 (Estelle), really rare in the UK now. Last time I saw 1 on the road was the mid 90's and it was my dad's.

Thanks, this one totally passed me up. I see way more talon's than 1st gen Eclipses. Dodge Stealth's have also been a rare occurance around here versus their 3000gt couterparts.

This car definitely isn't rare in former countries of soviet block, e.g. everything on right from Germany. No problem to see one almost every day...

the nsx is pretty darn rare

E39 M5 Wagon, in Australia I would say old ford and Holden Panel Vans would fit this perfectly.

ST205 Celica, rarer than its rivals, Escort Cosworth, EVO IV, GC8 Impreza


ST185 is the most common

ST165 rare, but not as much as ST205

Chrysler PT Cruiser
can get them quite cheap but they are still rare on the streets because not very popular. (at least in germany)

depends where u live i guess...around here the pt cruiser is anything but rare

They were surprisingly popular in the US. I still see one once in a while.
