The Ordnance Survey have used their own mapping to create the whole of the UK in minecraft. I've been having a play this evening, the scale is mindboggling - it took me the best part of 20 minutes flying in Creative mode, just to follow the Motorway from Southampton (where you spawn, at the OS head-office) up to Manchester. The scale seems to be about 50m per block.
