Event Specifiics
Race:
1. Alerting the Administration: Use @sc to alert administration to look at your car or the section of track you were in when you use the @sc command.
2. Start and Safety Cars: Safety Car will lead the field through 1 formation lap (The Rescue Car will pace the GT2 field under the same conditions). It will lead the field all the way to the pit entry. After Turns 13, the field needs to form into double file, the leader maintaining pitlane speed (with a 10 kph / 6 mph variance allowed). This speed MUST be maintained from that point until the GREEN FLAG.
The FIRST GREEN FLAG message is for GT1; the SECOND GREEN FLAG message is for GT2. We will do our best to clarify "GT1 READY" and "GT2 READY".
On Restarts, the Safety Car will pull away from the field after Motorway On-Ramp. It must not be overtaken before it crosses the 1st Safety Car line.
3. Blue Flag Behaviour: Due to the tight nature and close barriers at this circuit, behaviour from both classes is vital to clean overtaking. GT2s must be ready to yield on corner entry where safe and reasonable to do so, once the GT1s are close enough to be ahead by corner exit. GT1s must not force the issue, and also must be clear when they are approaching a GT2 car.
4. Communications: Each team must have a team representative in our IRC channel, #ndr at irc.gamesurge.net for the duration of the race. Failure to have a representative in IRC when contact is needed will result in the penalty prescribed by the rules. We will also be available in the NDR TeamSpeak server: teamspeak.newdimensionracing.com - Race Control messages will be broadcast to anyone in a channel in the Pit Wall in TS.
5. Driver Naming: Be sure to be in your proper name format (Number Green for GT1; Red for GT2, space, then First initial last name [eg. 00 J. Palmer]. The name must be in WHITE.
6. Tracker: Tracker will be available and running on http://tracker.newdimensionracing.com. Please point out any errors you note to us during the race.
7. Miscellany: Do NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S during the race without authorization from Race Control.
After finishing the race, please slow WELL BELOW racing speeds after Turn 1 and proceed around into pit lane. Select any open garage stall and pull in. The top 3 in each class shall report back to Start / Finish Line for podium pose.
Please post any procedural questions in this thread.
Good luck!
