500 euros is sadly my absolute maximum budget and I tend to avoid used instruments as they might require expensive maintenance if they're worn out, but I think I found my piano though.

It's within budget, and seems to sound pretty nice. Doesn't have the classical grand piano sound built in though, but I guess that could be done somehow via PC by plugging the piano in with USB and using some sound program?

I used to do this all the time with bass strings. I used to pick with my fingers right down by the bridge because I picked too hard and they would just flop all over the place if I picked further towards the neck, but it meant I would often break the core of the string where it passed over the saddle.

The worst one was when I broke an A string core and it stuck to the magnets of my pickups, but the floppy string was getting in the way of my E and D so I had to remove it. I grabbed it with my right hand and just ripped it away from the body, which did break the string but it also shattered the winding and left 13 pieces of nickel embedded in my fingers. Blood everywhere by the end of the gig and a long job picking all the shrapnel out with a needle when I got home.

I wasn't even playing in a metal band either so I got no respect for it whatsoever.

I sometimes work with a singer who's got one of those. It sounds pretty good but doesn't feel like a piano, the key action doesn't feel heavy enough but I wouldn't say it feels like a toy, it's still quite convincing. I think it's good for the price.

Also IIRC it only had a sustain pedal. If you're playing classical repertoire you'll want a stage piano that supports all three pedals.

I'd still go for the used option. Check condition before buying. (Good) music instruments don't "wear out" so quickly if treated good. I would personally never buy a Casio product except for watches maybe...
