Autocross Objects (NO layout)
Now that it's possible to make ramps, bridges, buildings, walls, etc., thought I'd share some of the objects that I've put together.

So far I have;

numerous types of fences and walls
bridge(s)
marshall posts
sign gantries
sign posts
garage(s)
viewing stand
starter viewpoints/building
driver podium
helicopter landing pad
car podium

If anyone wants to use them, I've included a layout that has the majority of the objects that I've built up - will save you some time.

Would be interesting to see what sort of things other people come up with that could be used on proper track layouts (not ordinary bridges, ramps, loops, swimming pools, ovals) as you would have in real life tracks.

Nice Smile
Ideas:
- Pitlane. (chalk, speed sign, the boxes, pitwall,...)
-Checkpoint gate (like on beginning of BL rallye)

"Third dimension" is very good tool to make autocross tracks easier to navigate...missed that for years. Overhead signs, some towers in center of turn...not just eye-candy but helps with orientation.

What is best way to use pre-build groups of objects?
I think it is not possible to copy&paste? :/
Worth to try making some insim tool, or already exists?

Use Ctrl + click to select up to 30 objects Smile

I am indeed Smile

Nice work sinanju. These "patterns" will be useful in ClaViCo. The only limitation I have (at the moment) concerning these patterns is they can only consist of groups of 30 autocross objects max.

Here is a small clip showing how you can make use of these patterns: https://www.youtube.com/watch? ... Qap4&feature=youtu.be It's very drafty but it's just so you get the idea (I had to butcher your bridge sinanju because it exceeded 30 objects).

oho!
That even works in version 0.6G too. Now I am not sure if to be happy or angry.

Is there a way to drag a selection-box too?
(like in Windows when selecting files or in strategy games)

It's been there since 0.6B Big grin

No selection box yet, although that would be a great addition. Sometimes it's frustrating to click on each object.
Small Grandstand

Your system makes it much easier to copy same item multiple times when there's a lot of objects to be grouped together.

I've made new viewing grandstand, which is just under 30 objects, and can be placed side by side to make longer grandstand.

Large Signs
Its possible (if not easy) to make very large signs/advertising hoardings.

With Westhill being so huge, and to give people time to see which way to go, you could always use some giant arrow signs.

How i copy objects 30 want bring to other tracks?

*(0.6G15 version)
Quote from GT4_PL :How i copy objects 30 want bring to other tracks?

Same way for each version; when in the layout that has the object, holding the CTRL key. click all the object dots that make up the whole group you want to copy, then load the layout you want to put the group into, then click the letter O to place all the grouped objects, then press < or > keys to rotate to face the way you want. Press letter M if you want to move group. Once you click something else, then the grouped objects become single objects again.
no, i said copy objects bring other track to Kyoto track?
RoC Bridge
Made a bridge with underpass that can be used in Race of Champion (RoC) events.

Comes with free AutoX layout.

Haha, you made my day Draggo! Big grin
Is it possible to make moving objects? I haven't tested new autocross objects yet..
Quote from R@fiXII :Is it possible to make moving objects?

if you doing this manualy then yes.

it is posible move object automatically by insim (unrelesed ClaViCo can do this)

Some nice constructions @ sinanju.

My stuff, some are just "construction ideas" or observations.
I looked for ways to mix up the concrete with other things for less "LEGO Land look." Wink

1) hay balls can be stacked into a wall.
(But only in 2 levels, for third level the z-coordinate has wrong step-size.)

2) Pylons, posts etc can be stacked too.
For example turn-makers can be put onto posts to makes them more visible.
(and more fun to knock over)
I did not manage to stack tire-stacks, they have a wrong height.

3) A starting light portal. The base of the light-carts are hidden inside the other stuff.
(.lyt also contains a wider version)

4) red-white barriers can look quite nice when stacked

5) signs can be "put on a wall" by clipping them into the wall

6) put cones on a wall & knock them off while drifting

7) The guardrails can be used as steel beams. (here some Autobahn-style sign)

8) another overheard construction with "steel beams."

9) pylons fit quite nicely onto posts

10) another starting light portal

1) Yes - I tried making a hay bale 4x4x4 and couldn't get 3rd layer to sit properly
2) I've stacked tyres 4 high - place 1st layer, place 2nd layer elsewhere, lift off ground a bit (not too much) then place on top of 1st stack, (they sort of blend together - also helps with X,Y placement) then lift up 2nd stack until above 1st stack - repeat for other stacks.

3) Great idea!
4)Tried that, but I thought they looked too much like the ground noise barriers they use at airports
5) Yes got that in various places - also useful for overhead gantries as sometimes hard to spot white signs on light sky

6) Not my cup of tea!
7) Clever!
8) I like things that look realistic
9) Bit too Heath Robinson for my tastes
10) Looks realistic - like it

Spirit of Silverstone
If we ever get a race track that was converted from an airfield (like Silverstone was), I have a piece of sculpture made that I could use on layout....

Was thinking of making copy of Eiffel Tower next, but then I thought, that would just be plain silly!

Looks awesome Big grin I suppose your plane is made of more than 30 objects? If you share the layout I could try to make it follow a route in the air but I don't think LFS can handle that performance wise.

It is, but I made you a glider and small plane that may do you much better.

It's in my layout, along with other bits n pieces you're willing to use, including some bridges - bridges have been done in one half - just need to place the half, rotate 90 degrees, and place the 2nd half, butting up as necessary.
