"Doing the perfect lap is near-on impossible but there are the keys. Turn 1 is notoriously bumpy which adds character. You must have your car set to ride those bumps. You need to just clip a serious bump on the inside without running over it.

Turn 8 is a famous piece of track where the surface is probably the worst on the circuit. Getting in there on brakes late and turning is where it's all at. Maximize the braking but still getting the car turned and accelerate to build speed. Any wheel spin will work against you here."

Beautiful work! Having been driven on the track in real life, the bumps are pretty realistic. Pukekohe is sort of known for them. Hope to see more New Zealand tracks in the future

Whatever they did in the last patch, the feel for the car is completely gone.

Strange; I spent 6 hours hot lapping the past few days and felt completely the opposite: best yet. The nuances of each car, throttle steer, feeling under braking all seem the best they've been yet from my perspective. Mind you, this is road cars only not GTs or open wheel or anything. That's more my cup of tea.

raise tu FFB overall force by 10 or 15% compared to the previous version.

Still using the ol' DFGT here, and activated the experimental gyro setting in the ini. It feels like I can countersteer more easily now, as if the wheel offers less resistance while moving fast. Dunno if I just placebo myself here...

There are a lot of really nice tracks available on the official forums and/or race department. Keep away from car mods with Forza ripped models, mist of them have shitty or stolen physics, and drive really bad.

I'm pretty much on the edge with the next dlc. I think kunos should put some effort into fixing the dlc model. It is not very 2015 if you need to own the dlc just to be able to drive a base content car on a server against dlc car. Even iracing allows you to do that as long as you own the the track and the car you are driving yourself.

buying DLC is a no brainer if you like the game

It is easy to make. I could probably do it myself. All kunos needs to do is to include the cars without the data.acd and make the game not crash when you try to load a car without data.acd. After that you could race against the dlc cars without owning them. The checksum cheat protection for the data.acd should not matter either because there is no reason for the checksum system to check the cars data files that you are not driving.
