P.S. Slot cars are those little cars that you race on a circuit with a metal strip in the middle, the cars fit in the metal strip... You drive them with those pistollike controlers. Like in herki's avatar!

In Herki's avater,are infact the slotcars before the Scalextrix Mania.

Made by Faller,they were called Faller Auto Motor Sport,were slotcars in H0 size,and had an engine. There have been several boxes; Figure of 8,oval,but later they also made boxes including the Nurburgring Nordschleife and Solitude tracks. Cars are quite rare now,you can easily catch €25,- for a normal car,and for more special cars prices easily go over €100,-.

Later Faller AMS evolved into what Scalextrix is now. They made other cars (Formula 1 cars,GTs,CanAms) and the tracks changed: Instead of roads there came banked turns,loups etc.).

I have around 20 cars myself,and I am building a city around the track for over 3-4 years now. I have several Mercedesses,2 Porsche 911,2 Porsche 356,Jaguar E-Type,VW Bus,Several Opel Diplomats,Ferrari 250GTO,Porsche 904 and more.

Its very fun to drive them

I wanna play!!! I used to have (still have actually), a Carrera toy thingy, nothing super, the cars fly off the track real easy (too easy), and I think one or two of my cars are broken... The track had loops, wich I hated, at a certain time my cars were so crapped up from flying off the track, they couldn't even manage through the loops.

my dad said when he and his brothers used to have scaleatrix when they where young, they put washing up liquid on the conrers and it was even more fun when they slid.

ive done that as well with a TVR Speed 12, damn the thing used to go
